TAMER CLASS SYSTEM - CLASS CHANGE REQUEST

Over time, Digital Dive has accumulated many characters. And certainly, upon choosing your Tamer Class, you might think something else suits them better, further down the line.

So, we have a Class Change Request system set in place!

Simply fill out the form, and we'll let you know if it's approved, or if any changes need to be made. If we deny the request, it will for the moment be the final word until at least we get settled in. Xros Tamer requests will have two strikes before they're rejected, on account of the extra work necessary.

DO NOTE: Due to their similar natures, and using the same base evolution lines, Soul and Matrix Tamers will have their evolution requirements interchangeable. They will not lose requirement credit for switching Classes. However, if either of those two Classes switches to Spirit or Xros Tamer, they will have to restart their evolution requirements - including both time and earned battles - from scratch, due to their widely varying natures from the other two Classes.

For muns who are changing characters over from Live Journal, when the Digital World reboots they will wake up as the new Tamer Class. Afterwards, you can submit Class Changes at any time, but you can only submit up to FOUR requests at a given time.

The request will go like so:

Reason For Request: Explain why your Tamer should change Classes. NOTE: Very, very few characters will be allowed to change from other Classes to Spirit Tamer. Reason being, everyone present already has a Digimon Partner, and we don't want to see them being abandoned/dying off en masse.
Character Abilities: To determine if anything needs to change upon class change, we'd like a reminder of your character's current abilities. You may simply copy and paste or link to the ability of your original app if you feel so inclined.

If applying for a Xros Tamer, you must apply the following to the app:

Requested Digimon Team: Including the partner you already have, what is your Digimon Team? A maximum of five Digimon, up to Perfect Level. If a Digimon is Perfect Level, they lose that power and are Adult strength. All Digimon lose the ability to evolve until Super Evolution is unlocked! If your Primary Partner is someone different from your current Digimon, please indicate, but you must keep your current partner in one of his or her forms, though their main form can be chosen from their evolution line.
New Digimon Personalities: You must give us personalities for each Digimon. They should be just as fleshed out as any one Digimon is in an application.
Xros Ups: We need to know the Xros Ups your Tamer will be able to form from your Primary Partner, what they're called, and what they can do, including attacks and any other special abilities.

Reason For Request: Thematically, given Pidonus' shapeshifter nature, turning her shifting abilities into the core of her fighting style by having her transform into a Digimon is strongly fitting.

My specific twists, are to first point out her partner - whose Adult and Ultimate forms match the first and last points of the chain - and Pidonus' own, intense fear of water (borne of a repressed memory of just how her forgotten life as a human ended).

The idea would be that, during the current chaos, Ranamon is killed - and does not return during the world reset. Instead, she receives a Spirit Digivice based on an evolutionary line that happens to partially match her former partner - forcing her to conquer her worst fear to finally complete her long-arc quest for peace with herself and her nature.

It should be noted that you neglected to fill out the Character Abilities section, though this was submitted after we added that to the form above.

However, this is regardless denied. We don't want to encourage Digimon Partners being simply killed off for the sake of changing to Spirit Tamers, and we don't want to leave the impression that said partners are disposable. Were Pidonus' partner killed under most normal circumstances, she WOULD return as a Digi-Egg regardless, and still be linked to her. This would include being killed by Chaosmon.

Further, Pidonus does have abilities of her own, which in and of itself means that there's less reason for her to be a Spirit Tamer. The fear of water could be overcome any number of ways, and overall there's not enough probably cause to justify this particular Class Change.

Reason For Request:

Ritsu started out and has remained, for the most part, a non combatant. Unlike Haku who has gone to great lengths to learn how to fight and defend herself and her family, Ritsu has almost taken a back seat to his own safety, usually leaving the fighting up to some one else. Or in the case of Finitevus' attacks on him and his family, sustained massive and nearly fatal damage because of his inability to do, well, anything.

This wouldn't be a problem... if Ritsu still had a partner that was around.

Shortly after teaming up with Finitevus, his partner Angel called him a traitor of the worst kind and left him alone. Angel has not been seen or heard from since, even after Ritsu renounced his alliance to the not so good doctor and returned to his family. Ritsu has, for two years now, been without a partner and Angel shows no signs of reconnecting with his tamer any time in the near or far future.

Because of this Ritsu has been left utterly defenseless, at a lower level than even most non-combative tamers. Because he feels no connection to Angel and will continue to be without a partner I believe this actually makes him an ideal candidate for Spirit Tamer.

Character Abilities: None. Ritsu can sing, play a mean guitar, and apparently is going to become the next Digital World entrepreneur or something, but that hardly lends to any sort of practical skill on the battle field.

Given Ritsu has prior fiction to why her Digimon Partner isn't currently present, this works out as a nice, happy accident.

Normally, we might point out, "But, Fairymon is a girl. Very obviously one." Except, then we realize this is Ritsu. So it fits.

Approved. Ritsu will be a Spirit Tamer upon the move to Dreamwidth. Note that his requirements for evolution start at zero, and will have to work through the Spirit Tamer requirements until he reaches the higher forms.

Reason For Request: Alexis will be turning 9 this year, and though he's been in the Digital World for a while, he's proven that he's basically a clone of his father in more ways than one. Even if he was older he probably wouldn't be any better at fighting than he is right now.

With that in mind, I think Matrix would make a better class for him seeing as it's dependent on his actions with the cards than his actions actually in the fight. He'd be able to stay back while Lopmon did the fighting for him, keeping him protected and generally out of harm's way.

Reason For Request: Dr. Finitevus has been in the digital world for two years now. During this time he has been in several fights and as his fighting style relies on his Warp Rings, he's uses them quite often. This leads to them being drained of their power relatively quickly in this world.

Due to the fact that the rings require energy to be powered, Finitevus has been using his own life force to recharge the Warp Rings. After doing this for nearly two years, his body is growing frailer and frailer and he cannot hold his own in a fight long without his body beginning to fail on him. As time goes on, this will condition will only grow worse and he will be unable to continue to defend himself in a fight as a Soul Tamer.

Matrix tamer will allow him to stay out of the fight for the most part and assist his Partner with his Option Cards. It will also decrease the amount of use of his Warp Rings, not only letting him not have to recharge them as often but also bring down their use in actual battles. This will not only allow Finitevus to continue fighting but help balance him out more than he was before.

Character Abilities: The ability to use his Warp Rings with a simple thought. He can control how large and small the portals are and can use them to simply displace a hit or travel across the world. The problem is these rings eventually begin to run out of energy and needs to be recharged.

He can also cast a small variety of hex spells, most based around the manipulation of ones will. He's also a capable hand-to-hand fighter when he is full strength though lately that's become harder for him to do. He has also learned how to use a firearm with surprising skill thanks to the training with Alyssa.

This will force her to think more strategically and support Seiko in battle in ways that she couldn't otherwise, while also forcing her to learn more about how to support a digimon in a fight than she has been.

Character Abilities: Rumiko is a normal woman, and has no exceptional abilities.

Reason For Request: Dell is not a fighter. He can use a gun, but ultimately, unless he's really desperate, he prefers to remain behind the scenes. Furthermore, him being a Matrix Tamer would force him to think more about Keramon when they're in trouble, and rely on him more, hopefully working towards repairing their relationship and making Dell finally act like a real partner to him.

Character Abilities: Being a machine, Dell has added durability and slightly above average strength, but nothing extreme or all that useful in a fight. He does, however, have a keen analytical mind when he's in trouble... when not ruled by his emotions, anyway.

Reason For Request: Haruhi, despite having a burning spirit that does equate well to Digi-Soul, isn't really a trained fighter. She was, when she came here, a high school girl. Now, while she's quite GOOD at anything she sets her mind to, she also has this habit of shifting her focus as soon as she gets bored with it.

She's otherwise an ordinary, if athletic, young woman in terms of physical abilities - not really up there with the sort of folks that really would be throwing down with Digimon face-to-face.

Changing to a Matrix Tamer would require Haruhi to put her mind to something in order to win, and stick WITH it, instead of just hitting it with the bluntest stick she can find.

Character Abilities: Haruhi, despite being ... something, depending on who you ask from her world, in the Digital World has no special abilities. She excels at almost any athletic task she could set herself to, on a human level, but there are many, many people who outclass her in that respect in the Digital World without even trying.

Character Abilities: All of Yamaki's abilities are intellectual. (He can hack your stuff, or create programming for mass weapons of digital destruction...) But he, in and of himself, has no actual combat abilities.

TerrierLiamon –
Appearance: Liamon retains her cat-like features but gaining Terriermon-like ears, ones that are large enough to support her body-weight. She is more nimble now and can float using the massive ears. Her features appear largely untouched, but her earrings are gone and her face looks more youthful in general, resembling a younger cub version of herself. She remains the same size, but looks more youthful. One last addition is the horn on her head, matching Terriermon’s. Both the horn and ears remain their usual coloring, but the fur around them slowly shifts from gold to cream rather than a sudden change.

Liamon TS -
Appearance: Using Liamon + Terriermon’s build, the feline gains the shell armor from the Liamon + Shakomon cross. The ears are left without armor and grow in size to better account for the weight of the new combination, still allowing floatation. The cannons are smaller and less like cannons now, appearing like little guns mounted on her shoulders.

ChimeraLiamon -
Appearance: Liamon becomes lithe and armored, a perfect combination. Her ears become larger than her body, and her shell cannons become tiny. Her shell armor covers her face, shoulders, and back, while her leather armor covers her legs. Her tails are thin and also armored. Her snout remains small in this form, and her main is more like tufts of fur again.
