CHARACTER APPLICATION
If you want to apply for a character at Digital Dive, simply take one of the forms below and reply to this post.
Applications will now be judged on a rotation cycle. Applications can be submitted throughout the entire month, but they will only be judged, rejected, or sent back for revision in the last two weeks of any calendar month.
New to Digital Dive, you can now use the Dive Tests Network to act in place of the RP Sample or D-Comm Network Post. You can only use it for one, however! Further details for how this works can be found here.
Before you apply, there are a few points we'd like to make known:
If you wish to app a character from a movie, video game, or other work released in individual (read, not regular), we'd like to ask that you wait for 30 days out of consideration for spoilers.
Most applications are judged on a two strikes your out policy, with applicants being given one chance to correct aspects of an app that the moderators feel are lacking or in error. However, if the majority of the application has numerous faults, the moderators reserve the right to reject an app wholesale. In the case of a rejected application, you must wait a full month before applying or reserving for them again, and in that time, the character you have applied for is still considered up for grabs.
Because all situations and canons are different, the moderators reserve the rights to question an application's merit and communicate with the applicant about the matter. This can range from how long the canon has been running, the point in which the character is being applied for, concerns of potential canon-mates, and whatever other necessary situations may arise.
We've provided explanations for each section, so please read over them before you apply!
Name and personal journal: List the name you'd like to be called along with your personal journal, if you have one.
Contact: List the methods by which you can be contacted here, including email, instant messagers, or anything else. We must have some means of getting hold of you outside Dreamwidth itself.
Player's Age: Please list your personal age. We ask presently that players be over the age of 16.
Character/Canon: List the character's name and the canon they originate from. If your character is an original creation, regardless of origin, please indicate this.
Character Type: Is your character a main character, a secondary character, a background character, or an OC?
Tamer Class: Please specify whether you are applying for a Soul Tamer, Matrix Tamer, Spirit Tamer, Xros Tamer, or a Digimon on its own. If you are uncertain of which to select, refer to the respective write-ups on Tamer classes.
Furthermore, if you are applying for a Spirit OR Xros Tamer, we would like you to explain why you believe it would fit your character.
Understand that we can and will, if necessary, deny or ask you change your Tamer Class if it is deemed ill-fitting of the character. This does not count as a strike towards rejection, however, except under circumstances when we determine the Class to be ill-fitting and the applicant doesn't comply.
If you don't understand the Class System well and are uncertain of what to pick, you can either ask a moderator, or simply choose "Soul Tamer" as the default option as it is the easiest to manage. You can always change you Class later!
Character appearance: Post an image of your character's appearance, or post a description if you don't have one.
Character age: List your character's age.
Digimon partner(s)/Spirit/Xros Army: If you are applying for a Soul or Matrix Tamer, please list the digimon you have selected for your partner. This digimon must be at the Child level or lower. You need not determine the rest of its evolution line at this time, and even if you do, you may change it at any time provided you haven't already depicted it as evolving into something else. If your Digimon is a fan creation, please indicate this.
If you are applying for a Spirit Tamer, simply state whether you have chosen the Spirit of Fire, Light, Wind, Ice, Thunder, Steel, Water, Wood, Earth, Darkness, or Corrupted Darkness.
If you are applying for a Xros Tamer, due to the fact that these require more information, we require you to list your army's main partner, their super evolution, and the remaining members of their army.
If you are applying for a character who is a Digimon, feel free to leave this blank. However, if said Digimon is an original creation, please indicate this. We are also not accepting applications for Digimon characters who are the Ultimate/Mega level that do not originate from an existing canon - simply put, you would be allowed to apply for BlackWarGreymon from the Digimon Adventure 02 anime, but not an original character who is a BlackWarGreymon.
In general, if you have trouble coming up with a Digimon Partner, you can feel free to ask the community over AIM, the moderators, or refer to sites such as the Digital Monster Almanac or Wikimon.
Xros Ups: If you are applying for a Xros Tamer, we need to know the Xros Ups your Tamer will be able to form from your Primary Partner, what they're called, and what they can do, including attacks and any other special abilities. Note, that this section is also important for determining you have a grasp of the Digi-Xros concept, so this is where you will show that knowledge. This section is not on the app for non-Xros Tamers.
Character history: Describe your character's history. If you're going to go into great, extensive detail, you won't be denied, but note that we do not need a novel written. Quality comes before quantity, and we simply want to know you understand and grasp the canon you are apping from, as well as give us context so we can better understand the following sections. So, please write it out in a concise, but informative manner.
Note however, that for original characters we will hold this section up to much higher standards. An original character can be rejected based on factors ranging from background quality or just seeming to be a poorly conceived character.
Character personality: Describe your character's personality in an informative, but concise, manner. This is one of the most important aspects of the application, to really show you understand the character and where they might be coming from. The raised standards for original characters also applies here.
Digimon partner personality: Describe your Digimon's personality in an informative, but concise manner. Your Digimon are characters too, and just as important as their Tamer. If you are applying for a Xros Tamer or a Tamer with multiple partners, you must list personality for ALL Digimon. Each one will be held up to the same standards as a single partner. If you are apping a Spirit Tamer, you can skip or remove this section.
Character abilities: Describe your character's abilities. Keep in mind that all offensive powers must be scaled down to the Adult level. Most powers that rely on external sources outside the Digital World generally won't function, though there can be the occasional exception depending on how it's described. Keep in mind this is also an important part of determining whether or not the Tamer Class you have selected for your character is right for them.
Please focus on the character's primary, distinct abilities. If the character has a multitude of attacks or spells, free to link to a wiki or other listing that covers said arsenal of powers, but this cannot substitute for the entire ability write-up.
If your character's abilities exceed that which is deemed fair towards the role play in general, you may be asked to tone them down.
On another note, Dive does consider allowing characters to arrive with piloted mecha. This is subject to certain scrutiny, of course, and is judged in comparison to the character's personal abilities outside of the suit and how much their character revolves around the use of said machine.
Sample RP: Please give us a third person role-play sample, depicting your character and their partner(s) interacting. Both sample sections are very important to show your character's voice, and your ability to write your character from a prose perspective, as this will make up a large potential chunk of your role playing in the Logs community.
Sample D-Comm Network Post: Please give us a role play sample from the perspective of posting from the D-Comm Network. It is, effectively, like posting in an online journal or social networking site. Again, we are trying to get a feel for your character's voice.
This is the app for Soul, Spirit, and Matrix Tamers, as well as standalone digimon characters.
This is the app for Xros Tamers:
Banned Digimon partners:
Keep in mind that some digimon are not allowed as digimon partners or components in an evolution line. These digimon are as follows:
Lucemon (all forms)
Arkadimon (all forms)
Apocalymon
Death-X-mon
Ogudamon
Omegamon
Susanoomon
Chaosmon
UltimateChaosmon
Millenniummon
Moon=Millenniumon
ZeedMillenniumon
Gizmon (all forms)
DarknessBagramon
Quartzmon
In addition, with a few notable exceptions, most "Mode Changes" are not acceptable at this time, and you must select the basic version of those Ultimates. The exceptions are Imperialdramon Dragon Mode and Fighter Mode, both of which can be selected as indvidual Digimon, and Duftmon Leopard Mode, which is a component of Duftmon's abilities.

Player's Age: 27
Character/Series: Hinomoto Akari, Digimon Xros Wars
Character Type: Main/secondary
Tamer Class: Xros Tamer
Character appearance:
Character age: 14, after Hunters
Xros Army:
Cutemon – Dondokomon – ChibiKamemon – Lilymon – Knightmon
Xros Ups:
[X2]
KameCutemon
Cutemon gains ChibiKamemon's helmet, shell, and chest armor, granting him improved defense and the ability to swim about more easily underwater. KameCutemon's attacks are “Supersonic Tackle”, a high-speed tackle propelled by a shout, and “Ultrasonic Arrow”, a piercing blast of sound focused like an arrow. He can also utilize ChibiKamemon's "Cora Guard" and withdraw completely into his shell.
DonCutemon
DonCutemon resembles the digimon DonShoutmon, except it's obviously Cutemon themed and colored pink rather than red. Cutemon's arms and legs come out of the drum shaped body, with the latter holding the drumsticks. Rather than a headband, Cutemon's muffler is wrapped around it, covering up the mouth. DonCutemon's attacks are "Drum Drum Wave", a series of sonic bursts created by beating his drum, and “Sonic Drumroll”, a quick drumroll that allows DonCutemon to speed up an ally nearby.
LilyCutemon
In this form, Cutemon gains flower petal “hair decorations” on the base of his ear-antennae, a new muffler that's tied in a flower-like shape, a “shirt” with poofy sleeves resembling Lilymon's dress, and flower petals on his wrists that can curl up into a cannon. He does however lack the skirt. Cutemon's attacks in this form are “Cutey Cannon”, a blast from his cannon that fires destructive sonic waves, and “Beautiful Ivy”, an ensnaring attack that fires ivy from his wrists.
KnightCutemon
Cutemon's most battle-oriented Digi-Xros. In this form, KnightCutemon grows taller and gains a miniaturized version of Knightmon's armor and cape. He also carries Knightmon's Berserk Sword, which is longer and taller than he is, and shield. KnightCutemon's attack is "Squire Sword", a slash with his sword, and "Cute Shield Break", a charge with his shield held out while propelled by a sonic burst.
[X5]
GreatCutemon [Cutemon + ChibiKamemon + Knightmon + Bastemon + Dondokomon]
GreatCutemon is identical to this, save for the lack of any elements related to PawnChessmon, Bastemon, or Jijimon. Because he lacks those digimon, he is referred to as GreatCutemon in this state rather than GreatestCutemon. As for Lilymon, who was not counted in this Digi Xros originally, his drum now has a flower symbol and his drumsticks bear flower petals. His attack in this form is "Great Sonic Wave", a powerful shockwave created by beating the drum that constitutes his lower body, "Greatsword", an attack with Knightmon's sword, and "Cutest Victorize", whereupon he draws out the shield on his back, and fires off a rainbow-like beam of energy featuring Cutemon, Knightmon, Dondokomon, ChibiKamemon, and Lilymon's individual colors.
[Super Evolution]
Super Evolution: Andiramon (Data)
Kame Puck
In this form, Chibi Kamemon instead becomes a weapon called the “Kame Puck”, a weapon that can be struck and sent flying like a ballistic weapon or thrown by Andiramon himself. In this form, ChibiKamemon's defensive abilities are increased to their maximum, so there's less danger to his body being used this way. The attack utilized in this form is “Mantra Break”, where Andiramon spins wildly, building up force before throwing the Kame Puck as hard as he can.
DonAndiramon
Rather than become integrated into Dondokomon as he was as DonCutemon, Andiramon instead has a massive Dondokomon-shaped drum tied harnessed to the front of his body, gaining drumsticks and a headband similar to Dondokomon's in the process. Nevertheless, his main attacks are similar to DonCutemon's. The main one, “Dharma Drum”, releases destructive sonic waves with each drumbeat, and “Namo Amida Butsu”, a series of drumbeats that can empower and strengthen an ally.
LilyAndiramon
In this form, Andiramon gains much the same dress he as LilyCutemon, sans the skirt as before. He retains his attacks as Andiramon, as well as the ability to fire a wave of holy power from the flower shaped cannon created by bringing his wrists together. This attack is called “Nengemisho”. He can also chant in order to summon a mass of flowered ivy to erupt and stab at and ensnare the enemy (“Hokke-kyo”).
KnightAndiramon
In this form, Andiramon resembles a cross between a western knight and a Sohei, or monk warrior of fuedal Japan. His main weapon is a sword called “Asi”, which is as long as he is tall and is sheathed behind his back. By drawing it, he can deliver a mighty slash in an attack called “Daevi Khadga”. He can also unleash a running strike with his shield, called “Treasure Shield”, which can shatter armor if it delivers a clean hit.

After MadLeomon was driven off, Akari learned that she and the others were in a place called Green Zone, part of the Digital World. Akari was instantly distraught, wanting to return to her family and friends in the real world. However, she encountered a digimon known as Cutemon for the first time, who temporarily cheered her up before leaving with his friend, Dorulumon. Akari managed to calm herself, though she was resistant to the idea of helping Shoutmon and his friends in defeating the Bagra Army and becoming the “Digimon King.” However, in their attempt to leave, they were attacked again by MadLeomon, an event which convinced Akari that their throwing their lot in with Shoutmon was the best course of action.
After MadLeomon's third and final defeat, they encountered a girl named Amano Nene, who told them of the “Code Crown”: the Digital World was divided into different zones, and each zone had a piece of this “Code Crown.” Only by collecting all of them could they restore the Digital World to its natural state, or in a different case, with the holder having the power to remake the world as they saw fit. They also encountered a young man named Aonuma Kiriha, who cemented himself as Taiki's rival, and unlocked a new level of power after meeting Dorulumon and Cutemon again. Amidst all of this, they decided to name their group “Xros Heart”, after the ability “Digi Xros” that Taiki was able to trigger with Shoutmon and his friends.
Their next journey took them to Island Zone, where they encountered and recruited a young Digimon named ChibiKamemon. After their victory there, they moved on to Magma Zone, where they once again encountered Cutemon and Dorulumon. There, they learned their story. Cutemon had been separated from his parents, and Dorulumon had been helping him to find them. Furthermore, Dorulumon himself was a defector from the Bagra Army. After escaping from the machinations of one of the Bagra Army's three Head Officers, Tactimon, Akari and the group moved on, with Akari having made a close friend in Cutemon.
Soon afterwards, they arrived at Lake Zone, where they met a digimon named Knightmon, who served the princess of Lake Zone's Bastia Castle, Bastemon. Akari was instantly put off by Bastemon's forwardness with Taiki, and became frustrated with Taiki's overhelpfulness and their situation in general. With her doubts and desire to return home, she was easy prey for the manipulation of Lilithmon, another one of the Head Officers, who used her powers and an image of Akari's mother to trick her into bringing her Lake Zone's Code Crown. However, her friends were able to snap her out of it by stating how much they valued her, and together they stood against Lilithmon and her underlings, IceDevimon and DaiPenmon. Using Knightmon and his subordinate PawnChessmons' power, they united into Shoutmon X4K and defeated them, earning Lake Zone's Code Crown. Furthermore, Knightmon, the PawnChessmons, and Bastemon joined them on their journey.
As time passed, Xros Heart's numbers grew, adding a young treasure hunter named Revolmon, and a former Bagra Army assassin who had been reborn as a Digimon named Beelzebumon. In addition, in a zone called Heaven Zone, they learned Nene was working with a digimon called DarkKnightmon. Later, they arrived in the Forest Zone, where Akari found herself forced to perform a “Love Love Dance” with Zenjirou in order to open the gate to the Forest Zone's diety, Deckerdramon, who had been targetted by DarkKnightmon. Though she was mortified, she and Zenjirou successfully opened the gate, where they fought DarkKnightmon alongside Kiriha. In the process, they learned Nene was helping DarkKnightmon in order to save her brother, Yuu, and though they successfully defended Deckerdramon (who ended up joining Kiriha), DarkKnightmon escaped with Nene.
Deciding to save Nene from DarkKnightmon, they moved on to a zone the nefarious digimon controlled known as Dust Zone. After helping a digimon named Pinnochimon (who initially decieved them), they soon learned DarkKnightmon no longer needed Nene, as he'd successfully activated a item called the Darkness Loader, which required no General and could force a Digi Xros. With Nene cast aside, they decided to work with her subordinates, the Monitamon, and take her to a place called Shinobi Zone. They arrived there after picking up a new member named Wisemon along the way (and narrowly avoiding being devoured by a digimon called Arkadimon), only to find Shinobi Zone was under siege by the Bagra Army. The group learned from the elder of the local Monitamon village that they could get the Code Crown from Karatenmon, the digimon that held it... by making him laugh. Along the way to see him, Akari found herself developing concern for Nene's plight, and in the end, the two of them ended up working together to earn the Code Crown, becoming friends in the process.
Sometime later, Xros Heart arrived in Sweets Zone, where they learned that the Bagra Army had taken over and kidnapped the local patisseries. After discovering that the local commander, Matadormon, was a sweets connoisseur, they posed as a group of chefs that had come to see him, with Akari herself challenging Matadormon's top chef, WaruMonzaemon, to a cooking battle in order to earn audience with him. Her attempt at making a cake turned out disastrous, due in part to her friends' incompetence and some manipulation by WaruWonzaemon, but to their surprise, they found Matadormon favoring their cake. However, Matadormon threw them down to the depths below Sweets Zone, where they learned a horrific fact: Matadormon was in fact using the inhabitants of Sweets Zone to power and revive a horrifically powerful digimon named Breakdramon. What was more, Matadormon was using Cutemon's own parents for this purpose. Nevertheless, they prevailed, and saved Cutemon's parents. In the end, Cutemon stayed with the group, having gotten permission to remain with Xros Heart on their journey.
The next zone they traveled to was Sword Zone... which quickly turned into a battle with Tactimon, as with Sword Zone's Code Crown, all of the existing Code Crowns were now accounted for between the Bagra Army and the various groups collecting them. Though Xros Heart defeated Tactimon, they were all thrown into the real world by Bagramon himself, who subsequently stole all the Code Crowns they'd collected. Once they were there, they found Shoutmon had ended up coming with them, and that barely any time had passed in the real world even after several months had passed in the Digital World. There, they encountered Omegamon, the being that had chosen Taiki and sent them into the Digital World in the first place. Omegamon had been trapped as an item called a Digimemory, after he and his group had attempted to stop the Bagra Army in ages past. However, Tactimon appeared, having been sent to the Digital World along with him. He took Akari and Zenjirou captive, but in the process, their feelings of courage and friendship ended up triggering a new ability in Taiki's Xros Loader, allowing Shoutmon to evolve to a new form called OmegaShoutmon, who subsequently defeated Tactimon once and for all. Soon after, Akari and the others prepared to return to the Digital World... only to learn that Omegamon only had the power to send back Taiki and Shoutmon. Akari hugged both Taiki and Shoutmon, wishing them well, and swearing that she and Zenjirou would find a way to join them if they were able.
And so, while Taiki and Shoutmon spent a great deal of time battling Bagramon's forces in a Digital World the emperor had constructed himself, barely a day passed for Akari and Zenjirou. They would find themselves thrown back into the conflict when Bagramon, now DarknessBagramon, entered the real world and froze the entire population of earth in stone. Akari and Zenjirou however were saved thanks to the Digi-Memories of Examon and WarGreymon, who had been transported to the real world along with Tactimon. With their help, they were able to save Taiki, who had been thrown into darkness after losing Shoutmon in battle, helping him to regain his resolve for the final battle. In the end, Taiki resolved to enter the corrupted Code Crown Bagramon had absorbed into his being, with Akari accompanying him at the last minute. Together, they played host to Shoutmon's revival within the Code Crown, which had responded to Taiki and removed itself from Bagramon's control. In the events that followed, Shoutmon, using the power of the Code Crown, digi xrosed with everything, becoming Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode. They struck Bagramon down for good, and the battle at last seemed to be over, with the digimon returning to the digital world...
… or so Akari believed. A year later, Akari had transferred schools and was unable to help Taiki as often as she had before. Unbeknown to her, the distortions in the Digital World and Bagramon's actions caused the birth of a digimon named Quartzmon, who created a new dimensional space known as Digi Quartz. Unknown to Akari, Taiki had been reunited with Shoutmon and had begun investigating instances involving Digi Quartz with Nene's brother, Yuu, and a boy named Akashi Tagiru along with their digimon. Akari would find the truth, however, when she unexpectedly won tickets to a fancy dinner party at a prestigious hotel. She invited Taiki to accompany her... only to find it was all part of a Digimon named SuperStarmon's plan, who wanted to add Taiki to his collection of “super stars.” They managed to get out of it okay, but Akari was understanding when she learned the truth from Taiki, opting to want to support him in any way she could.
She found her chance when the events in Digi Quartz came to a head, as Quartzmon began to reveal himself and start transforming the real world into Digi Quartz. She learned, along with Zenjirou and the others, the secret of Digi Quartz from a mysterious old man who had the ability to create Xros Loaders, as well as the fact that he'd gathered heroes from different dimensions to assist in defeating Quartzmon. The old man gave Akari a Xros Loader, allowing her to fight alongside Taiki and the rest of Xros Heart while they worked to empower a weapon made from Bagramon's dormant power, the Brave Snatcher. Unfortunately, the group was betrayed by a young man named Mogami Ryouma, who while under mind control from Astamon, a terminal of Quartzmon, stabbed Taiki and Shoutmon with the Brave Snatcher, with Akari and the others looking on in horror. Ultimately, the task of defeating Quartzmon fell to Tagiru, as Quartzmon absorbed Akari and the rest of the world into himself. Tagiru succeeded, and Quartzmon was reduced to a Digi-Egg, returning everything to normal. It seemed that the story had finally come to an end...
… And then Akari found herself pulled into another world again.

Digimon partner personality:
Cutemon
Cutemon is the picture of childish innocence, as his name might indicate. However, he's much braver and has more resolve than his appearance might indicate, having gone through a great deal in order to rescue his parents. As a result, he's more mature than he was originally, and doesn't need to fully rely on others to get by like he did when he originally met Dorulumon. That's not to say he isn't still childish. Far from it, in fact. It's just that he's not as childish as he could be, and he's much more willing to take on challenges than most would be in his situation. Cutemon hates the sight of tears, and will do whatever he can to cheer up someone whose suffering. The fact that he doesn't have any attacks that cause very much damage can make him somewhat fearful when in battle, but now that he's able to Digi Xros with others, this is starting to lessen.
ChibiKamemon
Being small himself, ChibiKamemon is much like Cutemon in that he's spunky and eager to prove himself. He's also eager to see things beyond the Island Zone where he initially lived, and this has not abated any even after travelling with Xros Heart. ChibiKamemon is plucky, hard-working, and dependable, even if his small size and childish demeanor sometimes get in the way. He tries to be a big brother towards other digimon, but the fact that he's young himself tends to lessen the effectiveness of this. ChibiKamemon and Cutemon have a somewhat brotherly relationship, and he sees Shoutmon as an older brother figure and someone to look up to. Unlike Cutemon, ChibiKamemon is calmer and less prone to immaturity.
Dondokomon
Being one of many Dondokomon that lived in the Village of Smiles, Dondokomon is used to being part of a group. In truth, he's content to stay in the background, supporting others with the invigorating beats of his drum. This is both a help and a hindrance; though his attacks have the ability to assist others' combat abilities, Dondokomon often finds himself drumming without concern for where he is. In other words, Dondokomon is very rarely aware of his surroundings, which is a fact that often gets him into trouble. He's not much of a battler at all, and tends to show cowardice when threatened. He's not an out and out coward – it takes a great deal to stand on the sidelines of a vicious battle – he's just not someone who'd even begin to know what to do if he got into a fight. That said, Dondokomon is perpetually cheerful and enthusiastic, so long as he's comfortable in his preferred position.
Knightmon
Knightmon is the former captain of the guard at Bastia Castle, and as such, he is very much the definition of the “knight in shining armor” archetype. This means he's stalwart, gallant, chivalrous, brave, and a warrior to the core. As the most experienced fighter in Akari's team, Knightmon sees himself as responsible for his various team-mates and as such, would prefer it if he were the center of the Digi Xros rather than Cutemon. This obviously doesn't pan out, and as a result, Knightmon will try to guide him and the others as best he can. However, despite being a knight and experienced, Knightmon is a bit too much of a white knight, and tends to see the world in black and white. He can also be somewhat naïve when it comes to interacting with the fairer sex, as shown in one instance in Xros Wars when he found himself frightened by Bastemon when she showed a... scarier side to her personality than normal.
Lilymon
Lilymon is the childhood friend of Ballistamon and Shoutmon, knowing them both rather well. She's also the member of Akari's team that Akari has had the least amount of interaction with, as the majority of her time with Xros Heart occurred during a period when Akari was in the real world. That said, while the two won't necessarily clash with one another, it will be some time before they become friends. Lilymon is cheerful, well meaning, and though she prefers not to fight, more than capable of holding her own. In the years since Shoutmon became Digimon King, Lilymon has grown into a role, helping him to lead the digital world and developing some leadership skills of her own. She's also a bit flirtatious, as shown by her attempts to “woo” Taiki into staying in the Digital World early on. Among the digimon on Akari's team, she's the most sensible as well, a trait she shared while looking after Shoutmon and Ballistamon in the Village of Smiles.
Character abilities: Akari has the ability to find the best object to serve as a makeshift pillow in order to help a falling
Taikibody receive a cushioned fall. Other than that, she's a normal, everyday teenaged girl.Sample RP: Akari opened her eyes, feeling a light trobbing in the back of her head. As she picked herself up, she realized that she was laying in the middle of a forest. How had she gotten here? The last thing she remembered was being home, and then...
“Akari! Are you alright, kyu?!”
That voice. Akari turned her head in the direction of it, and instantly found herself smiling. She reached out, pulling Cutemon into a hug, nuzzling the young rabbit-like digimon fondly. “Cutemon!” she exclaimed. “What are you doing here?!”
“That depends on where here is, kame.”
Akari looked up. That was another voice she recognized. This time, she saw more than just a single digimon... in addition to ChibiKamemon, there was also several other digimon she knew from Xros Heart, including Knightmon, Dondokomon, and... wait, was that Shoutmon's friend from his home village? Akari struggled to remember her name, before Knightmon spoke up next.
“Akari-dono,” the knight digimon said. “Please do not be alarmed, but I believe we are-”
“In the Digital World, I know,” she said, standing up with a weary sigh. “Just... how did I get here this time? Is Taiki here? Where's Shoutmon and the others?”
The digimon all exchanged nervous glances, and the flower digimon stepped forward. Lilymon. That was her name.
“Yeah, about that,” she said, indicating a strange ring on her arm. After a moment, Akari realized that all of the digimon had the same sort of ring (or was it a bracelet) on them somewhere.
“We've been asking around on these things,” Lilymon said. “This... this isn't our digital world, miss. This is an entirely different Digital World from where we come from.”
Akari's jaw fell open a bit. “Another digital world? You mean... like the ones those other heroes came from?”
“Presumably,” Knightmon replied, bringing a hand to his chest and lowering his head in a gesture of respect. “Either way, we're not sure just how we came to be here... or why we're with you. But I swear on my life that I shall do everything to protect you, Akari-dono.”
“Um... thanks,” Akari said nervously. This felt strange... while she wouldn't exactly call any of these digimon strangers, she was much less familiar with them than she was the likes of Cutemon and Dorulumon. It was then that she realized she was squeezing Cutemon a little bit tightly, causing the small digimon to whimper a bit.
“... Sorry Cutemon,” she said, placing her friend down. Then she sighed, and looked up. “What do you think we should do...?”
The digimon stared at her. “We were hoping you could tell us that, Akari-dono,” Knightmon said, pointing at the base of her feet. “For all intents and purposes... you appear to be our new general.”
Akari blinked again, and then looked down at where the digimon was pointing. There, she saw two devices: one that was similar to a cell-phone, and another that looked like the Xros Loader given to her by the old clockmaker. Reaching down, she picked them up and turned them over in her hands. They were the same color as her Xros Loader, and what was more, they were marked with the symbol of Xros Heart.
Akari bit her lower lip. “I guess... we should set off and see if we can't find civilization or something,” she said. “We can figure out where to go from there.”
All the digimon nodded, and Lilymon picked herself up off the ground with her wings. “I found a path nearby when you were out earlier,” she said. “I'll lead you all to it!”
And so they set off. Unfortunately, having a direction did nothing to quell the uncertainty in Akari's heart, or her confusion on just why and how this was happening. It was a feeling not unlike the kind she'd had when she first entered the Digital World... a fact that sat even less well with her.
But there was nothing she could do about it now. All she and the others could do was keep moving forward.

-on don Dondokomon-dokomon...!
Dondokomon! Quiet down! I'm trying to post to this place's network!
Don...
Um. Hello... My name is Hinomoto Akari, and... from what I can tell, this may not be the place I'm supposed to be. I'm here with five digimon from my world's digital world... geez, that sounds weird to say, and... erm...
This may sound weird, but has anyone here ever heard of someone named Kudou Taiki? He's about 15 years of age, wears goggles... has a pathological need to help out someone and everyone who might be in trouble? If I'm here with digimon, he's probably there with a Shoutmon wearing a scarf, and probably a few others...
Anyway, um. If you haven't heard of him, I'd still appreciate any help you might be able to give me. I know all about digimon already, but this place is a bit strange for me even then...
