If you want to apply for a character at Digital Dive, simply take one of the forms below and reply to this post.

Applications will now be judged on a rotation cycle. Applications can be submitted throughout the entire month, but they will only be judged, rejected, or sent back for revision in the last two weeks of any calendar month.

New to Digital Dive, you can now use the Dive Tests Network to act in place of the RP Sample or D-Comm Network Post. You can only use it for one, however! Further details for how this works can be found here.

Before you apply, there are a few points we'd like to make known:

  • If you wish to app a character from a movie, video game, or other work released in individual (read, not regular), we'd like to ask that you wait for 30 days out of consideration for spoilers.

  • Most applications are judged on a two strikes your out policy, with applicants being given one chance to correct aspects of an app that the moderators feel are lacking or in error. However, if the majority of the application has numerous faults, the moderators reserve the right to reject an app wholesale. In the case of a rejected application, you must wait a full month before applying or reserving for them again, and in that time, the character you have applied for is still considered up for grabs.

  • Because all situations and canons are different, the moderators reserve the rights to question an application's merit and communicate with the applicant about the matter. This can range from how long the canon has been running, the point in which the character is being applied for, concerns of potential canon-mates, and whatever other necessary situations may arise.

  • We've provided explanations for each section, so please read over them before you apply!

Name and personal journal: List the name you'd like to be called along with your personal journal, if you have one.

Contact: List the methods by which you can be contacted here, including email, instant messagers, or anything else. We must have some means of getting hold of you outside Dreamwidth itself.

Player's Age: Please list your personal age. We ask presently that players be over the age of 16.

Character/Canon: List the character's name and the canon they originate from. If your character is an original creation, regardless of origin, please indicate this.

Character Type: Is your character a main character, a secondary character, a background character, or an OC?

Tamer Class: Please specify whether you are applying for a Soul Tamer, Matrix Tamer, Spirit Tamer, Xros Tamer, or a Digimon on its own. If you are uncertain of which to select, refer to the respective write-ups on Tamer classes.

Furthermore, if you are applying for a Spirit OR Xros Tamer, we would like you to explain why you believe it would fit your character.

Understand that we can and will, if necessary, deny or ask you change your Tamer Class if it is deemed ill-fitting of the character. This does not count as a strike towards rejection, however, except under circumstances when we determine the Class to be ill-fitting and the applicant doesn't comply.

If you don't understand the Class System well and are uncertain of what to pick, you can either ask a moderator, or simply choose "Soul Tamer" as the default option as it is the easiest to manage. You can always change you Class later!

Character appearance: Post an image of your character's appearance, or post a description if you don't have one.

Character age: List your character's age.

Digimon partner(s)/Spirit/Xros Army: If you are applying for a Soul or Matrix Tamer, please list the digimon you have selected for your partner. This digimon must be at the Child level or lower. You need not determine the rest of its evolution line at this time, and even if you do, you may change it at any time provided you haven't already depicted it as evolving into something else. If your Digimon is a fan creation, please indicate this.

If you are applying for a Spirit Tamer, simply state whether you have chosen the Spirit of Fire, Light, Wind, Ice, Thunder, Steel, Water, Wood, Earth, Darkness, or Corrupted Darkness.

If you are applying for a Xros Tamer, due to the fact that these require more information, we require you to list your army's main partner, their super evolution, and the remaining members of their army.

If you are applying for a character who is a Digimon, feel free to leave this blank. However, if said Digimon is an original creation, please indicate this. We are also not accepting applications for Digimon characters who are the Ultimate/Mega level that do not originate from an existing canon - simply put, you would be allowed to apply for BlackWarGreymon from the Digimon Adventure 02 anime, but not an original character who is a BlackWarGreymon.

In general, if you have trouble coming up with a Digimon Partner, you can feel free to ask the community over AIM, the moderators, or refer to sites such as the Digital Monster Almanac or Wikimon.

Xros Ups: If you are applying for a Xros Tamer, we need to know the Xros Ups your Tamer will be able to form from your Primary Partner, what they're called, and what they can do, including attacks and any other special abilities. Note, that this section is also important for determining you have a grasp of the Digi-Xros concept, so this is where you will show that knowledge. This section is not on the app for non-Xros Tamers.

Character history: Describe your character's history. If you're going to go into great, extensive detail, you won't be denied, but note that we do not need a novel written. Quality comes before quantity, and we simply want to know you understand and grasp the canon you are apping from, as well as give us context so we can better understand the following sections. So, please write it out in a concise, but informative manner.

Note however, that for original characters we will hold this section up to much higher standards. An original character can be rejected based on factors ranging from background quality or just seeming to be a poorly conceived character.

Character personality: Describe your character's personality in an informative, but concise, manner. This is one of the most important aspects of the application, to really show you understand the character and where they might be coming from. The raised standards for original characters also applies here.

Digimon partner personality: Describe your Digimon's personality in an informative, but concise manner. Your Digimon are characters too, and just as important as their Tamer. If you are applying for a Xros Tamer or a Tamer with multiple partners, you must list personality for ALL Digimon. Each one will be held up to the same standards as a single partner. If you are apping a Spirit Tamer, you can skip or remove this section.

Character abilities: Describe your character's abilities. Keep in mind that all offensive powers must be scaled down to the Adult level. Most powers that rely on external sources outside the Digital World generally won't function, though there can be the occasional exception depending on how it's described. Keep in mind this is also an important part of determining whether or not the Tamer Class you have selected for your character is right for them.

Please focus on the character's primary, distinct abilities. If the character has a multitude of attacks or spells, free to link to a wiki or other listing that covers said arsenal of powers, but this cannot substitute for the entire ability write-up.

If your character's abilities exceed that which is deemed fair towards the role play in general, you may be asked to tone them down.

On another note, Dive does consider allowing characters to arrive with piloted mecha. This is subject to certain scrutiny, of course, and is judged in comparison to the character's personal abilities outside of the suit and how much their character revolves around the use of said machine.

Sample RP: Please give us a third person role-play sample, depicting your character and their partner(s) interacting. Both sample sections are very important to show your character's voice, and your ability to write your character from a prose perspective, as this will make up a large potential chunk of your role playing in the Logs community.

Sample D-Comm Network Post: Please give us a role play sample from the perspective of posting from the D-Comm Network. It is, effectively, like posting in an online journal or social networking site. Again, we are trying to get a feel for your character's voice.

This is the app for Soul, Spirit, and Matrix Tamers, as well as standalone digimon characters.

This is the app for Xros Tamers:

    Banned Digimon partners:

Keep in mind that some digimon are not allowed as digimon partners or components in an evolution line. These digimon are as follows:

    Lucemon (all forms)
    Arkadimon (all forms)
    Apocalymon
    Death-X-mon
    Ogudamon
    Omegamon
    Susanoomon
    Chaosmon
    UltimateChaosmon
    Millenniummon
    Moon=Millenniumon
    ZeedMillenniumon
    Gizmon (all forms)
    DarknessBagramon

In addition, with a few notable exceptions, most "Mode Changes" are not acceptable at this time, and you must select the basic version of those Ultimates. The exceptions are Imperialdramon Dragon Mode and Fighter Mode, both of which can be selected as indvidual Digimon, and Duftmon Leopard Mode, which is a component of Duftmon's abilities.

You may reply to this post with your application.

    Player's Age: 28

Character/Series: Tsubomi Hanasaki/Cure Blossom, Heartcatch Pretty Cure

    Character Type: Main

    Tamer Class: Spirit

Character appearance: Both normal and Cure forms

    Character age: 14

Digimon partner(s)/Spirit/Evolution Line: Lalamon -> Kabukimon -> Lilymon -> Rosemon

Character history: Tsubomi is the oldest daughter of Mizuki and Youichi Hanasaki and oldest granddaughter of Kaoruko Hanasaki. At a young age, her parents were always on the go, absorbed into their work while Kaoruko watched over young Tsubomi. While she enjoyed being with her grandmother, Tsubomi became increasingly lonely, finally breaking down after watching a mother bird tend to her young and realizing how lonely she was. It was just by chance the rest of her family caught this. Realizing how important their family was, her parents quit their jobs and decided to move where Kaoruko live, in the sleepy town of Kibougahana. On her way to the town, though, Tsubomi had a dream. A dream of a purple-haired woman calling herself "Cure Moonlight" fighting a demon-winged woman by a tree and being defeated, her last words calling for the creatures near her to find her replacement and to have them protect the "Great Heart Tree".

Shrugging off the dream, Tsubomi made her way to her first day of school and was practically shanghaied by a very energetic classmate named Erika Kurumi. Despite the girl trying to make Tsubomi feel at home, her energy put off Tsubomi and she broke contact with her. However, this set the stage for Tsubomi's own change when, after visiting a hillside overlooking the town, she had a close-encounter with the two creatures from her dream - face-first. The creatures were fairies named Chypre and Coffret and, because of her dream, she was now chosen to become the latest "Pretty Cure". Tsubomi didn't understand a lick of this until another woman showed up - the Desert Apostle known as Sasorina. Having turned the down-trodden Erika into a Desertian, Tsubomi was forced to become a Pretty Cure, calling herself "Cure Blossom" and... spectacularly failing, being dubbed "The Weakest Pretty Cure Ever". However, she found herself rescued by a mysterious handsome stranger and would wake up, restored to normal, in her grandmother's greenhouse. There, Tsubomi learned that she was once a Pretty Cure (the greatest ever, Cure Flower) and that the odd creature always in the greenhouse was her fairy companion, Coupe. The Desertian's return, however, forced Tsubomi to confront it once more and finally defeat the beast, rescuing Erika. Through this, Tsubomi finally broke down and decided to try to be friends with Erika once more.

Soon after, it was revealed that Erika herself had the same dream Tsubomi had, thus making her material for being Pretty Cure. Initially, Erika turned it down, but seeing how cool it was (and that Tsubomi was in trouble), she took up the job and became Cure Marine. With the two united, the Heartcatch Pretty Cure team was born, facing down Sasorina and her Apostle companions, Cobraja and Kumojacky. During this time, Tsubomi met and fell head over heels for the Student Council President, Itsuki Myoudouin... which ended rather quickly when she learned Itsuki was a girl. However, when she became a Desertian, the two girls were able to rescue her, even though it meant Tsubomi doing so in her PJs. Their easy times came to an end when the demon-winged woman, the Dark Pretty Cure, returned and nearly killed them. This and many other encounters would prompt them to get stronger, especially after learning the identity of Cure Moonlight, Yuri Tsukikage, and why she can't fight anymore. Their fortunes would change with the birth of the third fairy, Potpourri, and his recruitment of Itsuki, turning her into Cure Sunshine.

Dark times were coming, though, and Kaoruko realized they weren't strong enough to face the coming evil. Gathering the three Cures and Yuri, Kaoruko lead them to the Pretty Cure Palace so they could take the test to see if they were worthy of holding the Heartcatch Mirage. Their opponent was the mysterious stranger that had saved Tsubomi and the others many times. Upon his defeat, Tsubomi found herself heartbroken again - the mysterious handsome stranger was Coupe in disguise! After obtaining the Heartcatch Mirage, their luck changed even more as, when the Desert Apostles and the Dark Pretty Cure appeared as one team, Yuri was able to face her past mistakes and return as Cure Moonlight, driving them off. The arrival of a Desert Devil on Earth forced the girls to take one last test to prove their worthiness - facing down the embodiment of their negative traits. While Yuri, Erika and Itsuki faced down and triumphed over their Mirages easily, Tsubomi had the most trouble, uncertain if she could change herself. At last, Tsubomi was able to go through it and unlock the full power of the Heartcatch Mirage. With their new power, the girls were able to defeat another attacking Desert Devil and, later on, purify Sasorina.

However, things would get tougher for the girls when the true evil attacking Earth, Dune, made his appearance. In short order, he defeated the team, kidnapped Kaoruko and regained his power, turning Earth into a desert by destroying the Great Heart Tree. Their failure nearly left the girls in despair, only to learn that those they had saved from being Desertians were also around and that they still had a chance. Taking the fight to Dune's fortress, Tsubomi and Yuri split up from Erika and Itsuki, rescuing Kaoruko and confronting the Dark Pretty Cure and Professor Sabaku, her creator. In the fight, Yuri and Tsubomi learned the truth of Sabaku - that he was her long lost father. With the Dark Pretty Cure regretfully killed, Dune returned and attempted to kill the three, only for Sabaku to take the shot and perish. Before Yuri could go into a Roaring Rampage of Revenge, Tsubomi was able to convince her to not fight with hate, but with love, reuniting Yuri's broken Precure Seed. Together, the two took the fight to Dune, aided by Itsuki and Erika. Despite their power, Dune was still too powerful and he threatened to smash the Earth with his own two fists, gloating that their love could never defeat his hate. Instead, using the power of the Heartcatch Mirage, the four fused into a powerful Pretty Cure, the Infinity Silhouette and, with a single punch, purified Dune and saved the Earth.

A few months later, Tsubomi would have returned to a simpiler life, this time as a big sister to boot.

(NOTE: During Tsubomi's early days, she and Erika visited a strange, girly amusement park called Fairy Park, invited by Chypre and Coffret. After reuniting with their fairies, they found themselves running into four other girls - Love, Miki, Buki and Setsuna - after a fairy named Chiffon decided to have a little bit of fun with telekinesis and Miracle Lights. As thanks for saving Tsubomi from being beaned upside the head and for being treated to some snacks, Tsubomi and Erika agreed to help Love and her friends find others they were waiting for (turns out Love lost their tickets and they couldn't get there before the others separated). After completely missing all of their friends, but enjoying the rides, their fun times came to an end when a group of villains appeared, intent on taking the Park's centerpiece, the Rainbow Jewel. While Love and her friends were surprised that Erika and Tsubomi were Pretty Cure, it would be those two even more surprised - Love, Miki, Buki and Setsuna were Cure Peach, Cure Berry, Cure Pine and Cure Passion, collectively known as the Fresh Pretty Cure! Their missing friends? Three previous teams of Pretty Cure! Temporarily separated from the other teams, Tsubomi and Erika were able to reach the Rainbow Jewel, only to end up facing down Bottom, the creature that sought its power. Their determination and hope, however, allowed the teams to unite and vanquish this powerful foe once and more all.

However, it's hard to really say if this was canon or not...)

Character personality: What makes Tsubomi much more different than her fellow pink-type Cures (Nagisa, Saki, Nozomi, and Love)? Unlike them, Tsubomi's the shy and quiet type. Thanks to years of poor self-esteem, Tsubomi at one point would rather hang back and not get involved. Becoming a Pretty Cure, joining two clubs and gaining a whole set of friends has changed that. Her one big goal in life is to finally change and stop being the shy and insecure girl that she is. However, her fight with her Mirage has shown her one thing: even though she wants to change, she can't change without embracing her past. Meaning that her being shy and insecure will always be a part of her. Despite being a bit adverse to being energetic, she tends to have panic attacks when things go off the rails and has to be calmed down. She's also shown to panic when the spotlight is shone on her, such as when she was in the Fashion Club's show.

As Cure Blossom, Tsubomi's shown to be much more open and willing to help others. She's a firm believer in not fighting with hate or malice, instead fighting with love. This is easily shown when she's willing to try to talk down her opponents and when she stopped Yuri from tearing Dune a new one in anger. However, despite this, Tsubomi DOES have limits and she'll gladly announce it with "My bag of tolerance has just snapped!" By this point, she's ready to purify her opponent and save the day. As well, she DOES have an odd habit of naming almost every physical attack that doesn't use feet a punch.

Digimon partner personality: Tsubomi's Lalamon is like how Tsubomi was when she first started out - shy, insecure, would rather shrink away and enjoy flowers. While not as severe as what Tsubomi went through, a number of problems, including the Digital World's constant upheavals has caused her to feel worthless. As a result, she'd be more than happy to run off and panic at the sign of trouble and will probably have to be coirced into fighting.

Character abilities: By herself, Tsubomi doesn't have any particular skills. Just a bit of clothing design, plenty of gardening tips and knowledge of the language of flowers.

However, when her fairy companion Chypre summons the Precure Seed and she sets it into the Kokoro Perfume, Tsubomi is able to transform into Cure Blossom. In this form, Tsubomi's strength, agility and endurance is increased significantly, allowing her to fight monsters head on. As well, she has a number of physical and energy attacks. She has the Blossom Shower, which allows her to fire energy petals at her opponent; the Blossom Flower Storm, which creates a tornado of flower petals around her, allowing her to attack her opponent in a spinning manner; the Blossom Impact, which gathers energy into one hand and unleashes it in a massive force; the Blossom Double Impact, which is the same thing but with two hands; and the Blossom Screw Punch, which is a Blossom Impact fired as an energy projectile. Her ultimate attack is the Pink Forte Wave, an attack that gathers energy into her main weapon, the Blossom Tact, then fires it at her opponent creating a devastating explosion on contact, usually leading to a purification if strong enough. Together with another Cure, Tsubomi can perform the Double Flower Fortissimo, where the Cures gather energy into their weapons, make a F-like sign in front of them and use the energy to fly and slam into their opponents.

As well, Tsubomi, through the help of Chypre, can fly when her partner transforms into the Cure Mantle cape.

    Sample RP: "EEEEEEEEK!"

One moment, Tsubomi was on her way to school, having bid her family good bye and ready to join her friend Erika. The next, she and "playing doll" companion Chypre were hurtling hundreds of feet to the ground.

"Tsubomi, hang on-desu!" Chypre chirped out, quickly converting into the Cure Mantle and wrapping around Tsubomi's neck, catching her.

"That... that was a close one..." Tsubomi said, catching he breath and readjusting her glasses. "But, where are we? This isn't Kibougahana...!"

"I wish I knew-desu!" Chypre said, landing Tsubomi on the ground and returning to normal... only to hear something ruffling in the bushes nearby, causing both to jump in surprise. "What's that?!"

"...one way to find out." Tsubomi said, steeling herself as she made her way to the source of the noise. From her school uniform, she pulled out the Kokoro Perfume, ready to transform if it's something big. Reaching the bushes, she pulled aside the branches to reveal... a cowering Lalamon. "...it's... some sort of flower...thing."

"P-Please... d-don't hurt me. I-I'll be good, honest!" the Lalamon said, cowering.

"...hurt you? You scared us-desu!" Chypre said. Tsubomi put away her henshin device and reached over to pick up the scared Digimon.

"Hey, don't worry. We won't hurt you! Promise!" Tsubomi said, strangely not weirded out by what she saw. "You have a name?"

"L...Lalamon." it said, trying to calm down. For some odd reason, the Pretty Cure and fairy looked at each other as if they recognized the name before returning to look at the creature.

"I'm Tsubomi and this is Chypre. Don't worry, you have nothing to worry about from us." Tsubomi said, reassuringly.

    Sample D-Comm Network Post: [Voice]

    Is this on...?

The little light's blinking-desu! I think it is!

Ah, right! Um, my name's Tsubomi. Tsubomi Hanasaki. I... think I'm completely and utterly lost. This isn't my home and I have no idea where to go or what to do. If someone can help me, I'd very much appreciate it!

Tsubomi, who are you talking to?

L-Lalamon, shh! I can't let them know about both!

    Eee, I'm sorry!

Character/Series: Captain Marvelous (+Navi), Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.

    Character Type: Main

    Tamer Class: Soul Tamer

    Character appearance:

    Character age: 20s.

Digimon partner(s)/Spirit/Evolution Line: "Machalchon" - Falcomon
For point of reference: Machalcon is an ancillary character from Gokaiger itself. He is the team's final mecha upgrade, a sentient robot car from the alternate "Engine World." He is the son of two main mecha (yes... I know) from Engine Sentai Go-onger, Speedor and BeaRV. Though he's sentient, he's also a giant robot race car and only has one episode in the entire series focused on him. Seeing as he is very much a side character, but regardless inducted by Marvelous as part of the crew, it only feels right to bring him in somehow. If this doesn't work, it can be changed.
mugennoken: (SUPER HERO TIME - 2011 Version 1)
    From: [personal profile] mugennoken
Character history: Marvelous is from space, though he is human. Humans exist in space, and where in space doesn't particularly matter. Just, he is from space. Growing up as a street urchin, basically, he had very little to his name, except for his name. At a young age in a moment of mortal peril, the Metal Hero known as Space Sheriff Gavan came to his rescue and gave him words of encouragement. As he grew, strife also began to grow across the universe. The "Zangyack Empire," under the rule of Ackdos Gil, was rising and conquering large portions of the universe. Marvelous learned to make a living off the backs of being a nuisance to them, and somehow always managed to survive his encounters. One thing he nearly didn't survive, though, was an encounter with a bounty hunter named Kiaido. Kiaido provided Marvelous with a taste of true, absolute fear that would haunt him for years to come, and it was an incident he barely escaped.

On the planet Earth, an event called the "Legend War" erupted as the Zangyack Empire attempted to overthrow them. They were countered and thwarted by the combined efforts of the 34 Super Sentai teams. From Goranger to Goseiger, they fought and gave the entirety of their powers to push back the Zangyack fleet. The powers scattered out across the universe, compacted into objects called "Ranger Keys." The embodiment of all Red Warriors, AkaRed, witnessed this, and set out across the universe to collect these powers. Becoming a pirate to counter ZangyacZangyack's forces, AkaRed would come across Marvelous and bring him into his crew aboard his ship, the Gokai Galleon, as they set out to gather the 194 Ranger Keys. Joined by another young man named Basco, and AkaRed's mysterious robot parrot companion, Navi, they became known as the Red Pirates... and developed into quite a pain in the Empire's rear.

After collecting most of the Keys, Marvelous, Navi, and AkaRed were sold out by Basco to the Empire. In the ensuing battle, AkaRed was seemingly lost, as he entrusted the Ranger Keys, Navi, and the Galleon to Marvelous, asking him to seek out the "Greatest Treasure in the Universe." As he set out on his own, Marvelous would also find something else aboard the Galleon hidden from him until that time - five devices called Mobirates, which allowed him to utilize the power of any Ranger Key, and five MORE Ranger Keys of a Super Sentai that had never existed. Marvelous became a "Gokaiger," Gokai Red. However, he obviously needed a crew.

On a remote planet, he discovered a Zangyack traitor on the run from their forces, Joe Gibkin. Seeing his resolve, Marvelous recruited him and Joe became Gokai Blue. When raiding a Zangyack ship's vault, they came across a feisty female thief, Luka Millfy, who was interest in their promise of the Greatest Treasure, and became Gokai Yellow. When the Galleon was broke down and they needed a way to get in the air again, the came across an eccentric mechanical genius, Don Dogoier, whom they nicknamed "Doc." He became Gokai Green. After the planet Famille was destroyed by the Empire, the last survivor of its royal family, the Princess Ahim de Famille, requested to join their crew so that she could oppose the Empire and show her remaining people she was alive and fighting. Despite not proving to be the most adept fighter at first, Ahim became Gokai Pink.

The five together were the Pirate Sentai Gokaiger, and became such a problem for the Zangyack that their bounties started to skyrocket. When united together, they could utilize the four other "Gokai Machines" inside Gokai Galleon to create "Gokai-Oh," a powerful giant robot that they took great pleasure in using to wreck any Zangyack fleet they came across. Eventually, their search led them to the planet Earth, where a small Zangyack search fleet was scouting it to invade again. This small fleet was immediately wiped out as Gokai-Oh busted through its blockade on its way to Earth.

Once on the planet, though, their search for the Greatest Treasure is cut short as a larger fleet appears in the scouting one's place. Headed by the ship "Gigant Horse," this fleet was one commanded by Ackdos Gil's son, the Prince Walz Gil. The Zangyack prepare to invade, and the Gokaigers themselves prepare to get the hell out of town after their lunch is ruined... when they come across a group of school children and their teachers being threatened at gunpoint by Zangyack troops. They intervene, revealing their presence to the world, and their ability to utilize the powers of the past Super Sentai. However, they shrug off any praise and continue along their merry way.

Navi begins to have one of her first "Treasure Navigation" sessions, wherein she becomes briefly able to spout off brief clues to where their search must lead them next, this time being a "man in black." Marvelous soon runs into a kid who snatches his Shinken Red key, as he questions why they have these powers if they're not going to use them to save people. As another Action Commander attacks, Marvelous hands over his Mobirates to allow the kid to transform into Shinken Red, and quickly gets his ass kicked. Taking the Key and Mobirates back, Marvelous and his crew leave...

...to quickly dispatch of the attacking Zangyack forces again. Later, when dealing with another Action Commander, they come across the aforementioned "man in black" - namely, the former Magi Red, Kai. After Doc proves his courage to Kai, they come into possession of their first "Ultimate Power," that of the Magirangers. This allows them to summon a mecha known as Magi Dragon, which is able to combine with Gokai-Oh.

As time goes on, they trade off dealing with Zangyack threats to their treasure hunt, which just so happens ends up with them saving the world on occasion, and searching for former Super Sentai members to obtain their teams' Ultimate Powers. Marvelous ends up encountering Doggie Cruger, former Deka Master of Dekaranger, and proves that a cop can trust a pirate when the going gets tough, earning that power, and the mecha Pat Striker.

They subsequently earn the Gekirangers' power from Geki Red, and the Gaorangers' from Gao Red, which earns them the mecha Gao Lion. Not all former Sentai members are friendly, however. Shiba Kaoru, one of the many people in her family that has held the title of Shinken Red, confronts the Gokaigers' and demands her team's powers returned, attacking them. Joe faces off against her, but a Zangyack attack prevents it from continuing. Marvelous is injured in the resulting battle, while Joe learns a Zangyack soldier named Barizorg is his former mentor Cid brainwashed into a cyborg. The Gokaigers end up earning Kaoru's trust, and the Shinkengers' Ultimate Power, which allows Gao Lion to combine with Gokai-Oh to create Shinken Gokai-Oh. Soon after, they gain the Carrangers' power from Red Racer.

However, then things go badly. Basco returns as a privateer authorized by the Empire, with a sidekick monkey named Sally. Basco turns out to have gotten hold of several Ranger Keys himself - those belonging to most of the "sixth Rangers" of the Sentai teams. Wielding a trumpet that lets him create clone warriors from the powers, he defeats the Gokaigers and captures Marvelous' crew with an ultimatum - trade them for the rest of the Keys. Marvelous and Navi end up calling Basco's bluff and manage to free the others. They then defeat the cloned Sixth Warriors, obtaining their Keys in the process.

Following this, they come into conflict with another past team, the entirety of Tensou Sentai Goseiger. The Goseigers steal their own powers' Keys back, and come into battle with the Gokaigers on multiple occasions. However, the enemy of the first Sentai, Black Cross King, returns and manages to steal all but the Gokaiger and Goseiger Ranger Keys. The angels and pirates are forced to form a begrudging alliance, and in the end they earn the acceptance and Ultimate Powers of 11 Sentai teams, including Goranger and Goseiger. Goranger grants them the form of Goren Gokai-Oh, which they use to kill Black Cross King. The Goseigers return the Keys to the Gokaigers for the time being, trusting them.

Suddenly, there comes the appearance of another Gokaiger - Ikari Gai, Gokai Silver, an earthling. It turns out he received his powers from the spirits of three dead Sixth Rangers after his own near death experience. Marvelous at first takes Gai's Key and changer from him, until he proves why he would be a worthy addition to the crew. As Gai proves to be willing to fight Zangyack with powers or not, Marvelous finds his dedication impressive and allows him to join the crew. From there, they come into another encounter with Basco, as he reveals to have even MORE Ranger Keys - the Keys belonging to the various extra Rangers beyond the main six of most teams. During this fight, they recover the Key of Black Knight Hyuuga, and gain the Gingaman's Ultimate Power.

While they had already received Boukenger's Ultimate Power in the Black Cross King incident, Bouken Red - Akashi - comes to the Gokaigers for help, which they offer. The encounter leads Marvelous to remember various past moments with AkaRed. Little did Marvelous realize that Akashi himself had encountered AkaRed five years prior. Ahim & Luka obtain the power of GoGo V from Go Pink in another fight with Basco. Then, the children of past Hurricanger enemies arrive to help the Empire. This is thwarted by the help of the three main Hurricangers, and they reclaim their former powers briefly to assist the Gokaigers in battle. This also nets the pirates the Hurricanger power, in the form of the mecha Furaimaru.

Kiaido arrives on Earth to collect the Gokaigers' bounty, and is at first more of a force than they can reckon with. This messes with Marvelous' mind, and he receives guidance from the spirit of Yuki Gai, former Black Condor of Jetman. With that, they use the Jetman powers to defeat Kiaido and gain that team's power, while Yuki Gai's spirit returns to Heaven with his work done. The former Abare Blue shows them the true strength of Abaranger's Ultimate Power, while in searching for a former Liveman member Joe comes to a realization about Barizorg.

Basco, meanwhile, had been forcefully taking the Ultimate Powers of three other teams, and moves to blackmail Oh Red of Ohranger into a position where the same will happen to him. The Gokaigers intervene and stop this, defeating the remainder of Basco's Ranger Key clones. However, Basco ends up showing he isn't human - the human face was merely a disguise, and he's actually an extremely powerful alien who hands the team their asses. Afterwards, Doc uses the Ohranger's power to create a new weapon, the Gokai Galleon Buster. Gai, then, encounters Ryuu Ranger of Dairanger and obtains that power.

The team comes to assist Sousuke, Go-on Red of Go-onger, in traveling to another world to help his team's "Engine Partners" that have come into trouble. However, when the returned forces of Go-onger's enemy, Gai-Ark, locks them all in another reality, they have to find two of the Engines' son, Machalcon - a giant mecha race car - so that he can traverse the boundaries and get them home. The Engines have the ability to transcend dimensional barriers, but the rest of them are lacking in power now. Machalcon is a wild child, but Marvelous and the others are able to get him to settle down and help, and he's basically made a member of the team. Using the Go-onger's Ultimate Power then allows them to summon Machalcon, and combine him with Gokai-Oh.

Walz Gil receives a gift from his father - a powerful mecha called the Great Walz. The Great Walz proves too strong for Gokai-Oh, and its nearly destroyed. Marvelous ends up ejecting the other crew members in order to save them, ending up injured in the process. In searching for Marvelous, Joe ends up killing his former mentor Barizorg, and when they all come together they end up being stronger than before with their near death experiences. As they fight the Great Walz again, they're able to unlock the Ultimate Power of THEIR team, allowing them to combine the Galleon, Gai's GoJyuJin, and Machalcon into their strongest combined form - Kanzen Gokai-Oh. Kanzen Gokai-Oh makes short work of the Great Walz, killing the Zangyack Prince in the process.

After they avert another of Basco's plots and attain the Megaranger's power, they are summoned for a mission by Timeranger's Time Yellow to travel to the past. There, come across the Shinkengers and Goseigers at a time when those two teams united. They also encounter one of the Shinkenger's last remaining enemies, and make short work of him as a payment for getting the Shinkenger's Ultimate Power months before. Before leaving, they come across one of the Goseiger's enemies and destroy one of their creations. Once back in their own time, however, things get WORSE.

Emperor Ackdos Gil arrives with a larger fleet to replace his son's. He sends one of his Generals to attack Earth, who ends up being the one who destroyed Famille long ago. When Ahim attempts to leave on her own to face him, Marvelous and the others stop her, Marvelous in particular concerned about her just up and leaving. They go to fight this General as a team, and defeat him.

Later, they come to hear from a magazine - which is actually a hoax planted by Doc to make himself look cool - of a "Legendary Hero" who vanished long ago named Don Dogoier. However, Damaras - Walz Gil's general, and the "Strongest Man In The Universe" - arrives to wipe the pirates out, with Basco helping. Damaras wipes the floor with them, and seemingly kills everyone but Marvelous and Doc. Marvelous is captured and brought before the Emperor before being sent back to Earth for a public execution. Doc is able to save Marvelous, however, and the others arrived unharmed - it turns out they were saved by BASCO, who wants to keep Marvelous around so he can attain the last couple Ultimate Powers before he steals them. At this point, Basco's also stolen two more himself. The Gokaigers turn their attentions to Damaras, however, and destroy him.

On Christmas, after helping a brother and sister, they attain the Battle Fever J power from a Battle Kenya disguised as a sidewalk Santa. Then, they find out that a temple they saved when traveling back in time was housing Ninjaman, an ally of the Kakurangers. They manage to gain the Kakurangers' Ultimate Power in the process.

Basco then sets forth his final plan - by shooting Sally up and leaving her for the Gokaigers. They bring Sally onto the Galleon to treat her wounds, knowing the whole time its a trick. Sally shows hesitation thanks to the kindness given her, but ends up stealing the Ranger Key treasure chest as Basco had instructed. It ends up being a fake, though... but Basco fakes THEM out, and ends up betraying Sally by setting off a bomb she was wearing when she's next to Marvelous. Sally acts to protect Marvelous at the cost of her own life, but Marvelous is regardless injured badly. He comes to later on. At this point, the Galleon and their powers had been stolen by Basco, and Navi captured. The others go off to face him, leaving the injured Marvelous to recover. While they end up recovering all the powers and the ship, Basco nearly has them beaten... until Marvelous himself shows up. He and Basco have one final battle, where Marvelous is the victor and Basco is killed.

After that fight, representatives of the five teams Basco stole powers from appear to the Gokaigers and grant those powers to them. This allows them to unlock the Greatest Treasure - as it turns out, Navi turns into a gateway for that Treasure with the united teams' ultimate powers. The Greatest Treasure is in fact the "Will of The Earth, a power that can grant any wish... at the cost of all the Super Sentai teams that existed. They will all cease to exist from history, as will their members. As Ackdos Gil prepares his final plan, the Zangyack scientist Insarn is sent on a suicide mission to delay the Gokaigers, and ends up being killed. However, then...

Countless Zangyack ships appear in the sky, all gunning for the pirates. Despite a valiant effort, Gokai-Oh and GoJyuJin are brought down. With the Galleon wrecked and the team scattered, Marvelous limps off... He comes across the kid that had stolen the Shinken Red Key a year before, finding he's become stronger and is trying to fight off the marching Zangyack forces on his own. This shows Marvelous final proof of what the Super Sentai means to the people of Earth. At the wrecked Galleon, the team gives Gai a choice, as its his planet in danger - they can use the Greatest Treasure, and wish all of Zangyack out of existence, or they can fight themselves. Seeing the cost as too high, Gai destroys the Greatest Treasure and they go off to fight the Zangyack forces, proclaiming themselves the 35th Super Sentai.

Still, the Zangyack General Dairando proves too much for them. They're nearly all destroyed by incoming Zangyack ships, when Navi reveals she's hijacked Basco's abandoned ship and uses it to shield them. Marvelous & Gai go off to take the fight to Ackdos, while the others stay to fight, and defeat, Dairando. Marvelous rams Basco's old ship into the Gigant Horse, and he & Gai battle Ackdos himself. While Gai holds the Emperor off, Marvelous turns the Gigant Horse's powerful weapons on the fleet, obliterating anything in the sky. The Gigant Horse is destroyed, but Ackdos lives... so, they continue the fight with the full team. Uniting the full strength of all 35 teams, they're finally able to destroy him.

Months later, with the Galleon repaired, they decide to go after the Second Greatest Treasure in the Universe. Marvelous doesn't know what it is, but figures the Zangyack homeworld is the best place to start. So, as they release the powers of the past 34 teams to their rightful owners, the 35th Super Sentai sails off into the sunset in search of their next treasure.

    From: [personal profile] mugennoken
Character personality: Marvelous is a man that keeps his true self and intentions masked, with varying levels of success. On the outside, he is a pirate through and through. He is rebellious and takes orders from no man. If he sees something he wants, he takes it, and if he sees anything he doesn't like, or something that bothers him, he wrecks them.

Often times, he can come across seemingly disinterested or annoyed with something if it isn't a part of his goals. Other times, if it's something he finds exciting, he will follow it through with an enthusiasm that is next to impossible to stop. However, throughout everything, he will often come across people in need or those that need saving...

In the end, he always ends up helping these people. Many times, that disinterest is feigned. He will shrug off any praise for helping people, will not dare call himself a hero, and will laugh or roll his eyes at anyone who does. He is a pirate, and he has a reputation to uphold. But despite how rough around the edges he may be, how much he may not APPEAR to care about the perils of those in danger, he is at his heart a good man. As a good man, he will always find a way to do the right thing in the end... even if he has to make up an excuse to cover his good deed.

Protecting dreams is very important to him, as is protecting his crew. His crew is his family, and those he cares the most about. Anything that puts them in danger will be faced with a gun and/or sword to the face. He will do ANYTHING to protect the other Gokaigers, no matter how much danger it puts his own health in. It is not just his crew's dreams that are important, though - upon realizing his own view of what it means to be a leader and a Captain, he has come to realize the importance of protecting the dreams of those who can't otherwise do it for himself. He will, of course, do this in a pirate fashion... but as it is said above, he will usually find a way to do the right thing in that regard.

So while he may come across to others as uncouth or uncaring, or even a sarcastic or greedy asshole, he does care quite a bit. Far more than one would think upon first impression. He is a pirate first, but in the end, he is also the leader of a Super Sentai. Both of these are now badges he wears with the utmost honor.

Digimon partner personality: Machalcon is, to put things mildly, eccentric. In his previous form, before he was tamed by the Gokaigers, he ran wildly and free across the Engine World, breaking every traffic law in sight as he sought to just race as far and as fast as he could. He even dismissed the words of his parents, Speedor and BeaRV. Cocky and rowdy, even after he mellowed a bit, he was still always concerned about hitting things at full speed with his engines always revved and ready to go at a moment's notice.

Now, however, he's been stuck in the body of a Digimon. He has no wheels, he lacks the speed he once had, and actually is actually a lot more vulnerable than he's used to ever having been, in spite of his new found ability to evolve. This frustrates him terribly, something he tries to hide from Marvelous... and does so very poorly, and is likely to get him several swift kicks in the ass. Now that he is NOT a giant robot race car, though, his mouth is liable to get him in a lot of trouble. He has quite the habit of shooting it off, quickly and often.

He is completely loyal to Marvelous and all the Gokaigers. He pretty much thinks himself a Gokaiger anyway, so he's just as protective of them as Marvelous might be. They were people who accepted him for what he is, and that is something he is not liable to forget anytime soon.

Character abilities: Marvelous is skilled with numerous weapons and fighting styles, but his largest skill lies in a keen swordsmanship and pinpoint marksmanship. He is no slouch in hand to hand combat, either.

Even untransformed, Marvelous can summon up and wield his Gokai Gun and Gokai Saber. The Gokai Gun has seemingly infinite ammo, firing small round bullets, but only tends to provide minimal damage against armored opponents. The Gokai Saber is an extremely strong blade, meanwhile. It is theoretically possible to utilize his "Final Wave" attacks detailed below untransformed, but it would likely end up hurting him in some manner or another, so it's not generally ADVISED.

Using the red Gokaiger Ranger Key in conjunction with his Mobirates transformation device, he can transform into Gokai Red, leader of the Pirate Sentai.

As Gokai Red, Marvelous' strength, resistance, and leaping ability is greatly increased. He can withstand a number of attacks to his person he wouldn't be able to otherwise, including slashes from a blade. Despite being skin tight, his suit acts as armor. He can, and has, been injured, cut, and shot through the suit but it takes a particularly strong hit to penetrate it. Even if the suit isn't penetrated, he'll still be hurt from directly blows suffered. He is, after all, still human... even if it's a Space Human.

Inserting a Ranger Key into either the Gokai Gun or Gokai Saber, he can summon a "Final Wave" finishing attack. For the Saber, this is either a powerful energy blade launched from the sword, or the energy can be contained within the Saber to attack physically with increased power. The Gun's Final Wave is a powerful, energized shot.

On his own, he can only preform one Final Wave at a time. Any other Ranger Key can be inserted into both weapons at the same time, though, allowing him to use both the Slash and Blast Final Waves at the same time. Since the previous 34 teams' powers were returned, this would require using a teammate's Key for the second weapon. Likewise, all main five Gokaiger weapons are interchangeable - Marvelous can use any of the other main five's Saber or Gun, and vice versa. Though Marvelous fights primarily with the Gun & Saber most of the time, this is a technique the others use to compliment their varied styles.

Any Gokaiger can summon the Gokai Galleon Buster, a large bazooka which fires powered shots of energy. Utilized on its own, it just shoots standard shots. If five Gokaigers all insert their Ranger Keys into it, though, it preforms a "Charged" attack of the main color Key used in it's primary ignition slot and attacks with the combined power of all five Keys. For instance, if Gokai Red is the one whose Key is the main one used, it preforms a "Red Charge." For Pink, it'd be a "Pink Charge" and so forth. Either way, the result is the same - it shoots a large energy blast of their combined power, in the shape of the Gokai Galleon. (Though not nearly close to its SIZE.)

However, it will require five Gokaigers present to ever use that attack - without that, all it can be used for is a bigger gun, just without the significantly bigger boom.

Special Note/Request #1: The Gokai Galleon.

With permission, I'd like to request that Marvelous enters the Digital World with the Gokai Galleon in tow.

The Gokai Galleon is a large pirate ship... with wings. And rocket boosters. It's an airship, and though capable of interstellar travel in canon, Yggdrasil's machinations will prevent it from breaching the Digtial World's atmosphere.

The Galleon is built more like a battleship than any old pirate vessel, as it's hull is made of a strong metal. This is because in the Super Sentai world, the Gokai Galleon is the housing for four other machines, and when all five unite together, they form a giant robot named Gokai-Oh. Naturally... this will not be allowed to happen in this world. I will leave it to the mods discretion of what happens to the other Machines - they technically belong to the other Gokaigers, but it's obvious we'd not be able to get any of those other machines active. So whether they're just deactivated or simply banned from the world, I will leave to the non-Gokaiger apping moderators.

Regardless, the Galleon isn't a super robot by itself, and for the most part is just a ship. That flies. It has some moderate forms of defense beyond its heavy armoring - including port side cannons and guns mounted onto its wings. The front of the ship is also home to a massive sword, which I'd doubt an enemy would like plowing into their own vessel.

The Gokai Galleon, technically being Gokai Red's machine, is primarily controlled by him. It has an autopilot, but for more precise controls in battle Gokai Red must be at the helm. And though it can function without him, it's regardless still tied to his Ranger Key - if power to the ship is lost for any reason or another, or if it has a crash landing, it's not going to start back up unless he plugs his Key in. The Galleon also has navigation systems that can map the world they're on, and computer systems that can tap into a world's general information network.

Inside, as well, are quarters for the team, a kitchen, a work lab, and a large general living area. If the Gokai Machines are removed from inside it entirely, there will also be a significant amount of extra storage space within the ship.

Primarily, I'm asking permission for the Galleon because a group of pirates need a ship to be rightful pirates, or else Marvelous is going to waste little time trying to commandeer other vessels anyway.

Special note/Request #2: With the Galleon, I'd also like to request Navi, Marvelous' robot parrot sidekick, enter the Digital World with him. Navi has no real combat abilities, and without a Doc/Gokai Green, she's the only one in the crew otherwise that would have any idea of how to deal with the more intricate computer systems. She is also very tightly connected to Marvelous personally, as she is one of the last remaining things from Marvelous' mentor, AkaRed. It is effectively much the same as a Pokemon Trainer coming in with one of their Pokemon.

Sample RP: It all started because Marvelous was hungry.

Machalcon hadn't been opposed to this thought. The concept of needing food was new to him, and he didn't like the feeling of being hungry. This also led to him putting away WAY too much food, and by the time they'd raided the pantry a couple of times for anything prepared Doc and Gai had ready before the Galleon was sucked into this world... Well, they were out of food. Out of food that didn't need to be COOKED, anyway, and no one present knew much how to do that.

So they found this place. Burgermon Village. Lots of great food there, apparently. Seemed simple enough. They found a bar, got waited on... but while they were waiting on their food, a burly looking Tamer had made some snide remark in Marvelous' direction.

Machalcon honestly couldn't remember who threw the first punch. It had probably been Marvelous. Either way, it was only seconds before the entire bar was embroiled in conflict. Chairs were thrown, bottles were broken, people and Digimon alike were kicked in the junk. Again, probably by Marvelous.

The Falcomon had joined in the brawl with as much enthusiasm as his partner, the adrenaline temporarily covering for the fact he was hungry as hell. He was still unused to this body, though, and... well, quickly found himself throw under a table where he laid for several moments.

By the time the waiter came from the kitchen with their ordered, about half of the patrons were on the floor. Several more had been tossed through a window. Machalcon sat up with his head spinning to see Marvelous still squaring off against the burly Tamer who had first insulted him. The large man rushed the pirate, throwing a punch. Marvelous caught the man's arm and countered, using his own momentum to flip him... sending him over the bar to land on the ground with a heavy thud.

"Y- yeah...!" Machalcon stammered, holding a wing to his head as he stood up unsteadily. "That's what you get!"

Marvelous spun on one foot to face the waiter, dusting off his jacket as he did so. Everyone else was either fleeing the scene, now, or just trying to get back to a stable seat that hadn't been broken over someone's head. The pirate captain flashed the waiter a grin, holding a hand up in a two fingered salute.

"Yeah, can we get that to go?"

Character/Series: Walz Gil | Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger

    Character Type: Primary Antagonist

    Tamer Class: Matrix Tamer

    Character appearance:

Character age: Unknown, physically an older teenager or young adult

Digimon partner/Evolution Line: V-mon->Gargo(yle)mon->Cyberdramon->Imperialdramon (custom colors)

    Character history:
Walz Gil is the son of the Space Empire Zangyack's emperor Ackdos Gil, making him the crown prince of the empire and next in line to the throne. Some time in the past, Ackdos attempted conquest of the planet Earth, only to discover that it was protected by 34 teams of superheroes, collectively known as "Super Sentai". The ensuing "Legend War" was long and grueling, culminating in the empire's defeat and being driven away, but at the cost of the powers of the 193 heroes who participated.

Emperor Ackdos would attempt to conquer Earth again years later; but believing that without the Super Sentai teams protecting it, it would be too easy: so he sent his spoiled son Walz to lead the invasion force, believing that perhaps this would make the boy finally grow up and become worthy of the throne. He sent one of his loyal enforcers Damaras to watch the prince and make sure the invasion was a success, as both had doubts of Walz's abilities--completely unaware that Walz was not only aware of their doubt, but was now determined to prove to both of them he wasn't a failure.

Of course in the beginning, failure marked Walz's every attempt at conquering Earth: Gokaiger, a crew of space pirates looking for "The Greatest Treasure in the Universe", had the powers of the 34 Super Sentai teams at their disposal as well as Super Sentai powers of their own. Though they were reluctant to protect Earth at first, and many of their initial meetings were complete coincidences, the Gokaiger learned that the Super Sentai /were/ the source of the Greatest Treasure, and by obtaining their "Great Powers" individually they could fight Zangyack forces as the bounties on their heads soared. Walz and his crew would try everything to defeat the seemingly unstoppable pirates: no matter how ridiculous (such as sending in an Action Commander that would use mildly effective "propaganda") or heinous (such as rigging an Action Commander with a suicide bomb, a plot that even made Damaras disgusted), just when Walz would believe he would finally win, the Gokaiger would find a way to tap into the powers that defeated his father years ago, and leave him furious at their luck.

Eventually his failures caught up with him, but it wound up benefitting him instead: upon hearing of the "return" of the powers of the Super Sentai, Ackdos sent his son a giant mecha weapon as a gift, created in his image and bearing enough power to defeat the seemingly unbeatable Gokaioh. It was here that Walz revealed just how compitent he could be: using the power of the "Great Walz", he single-handedly defeated the combined power of GoZyuGokaioh and their powers, at last relishing in the victory that he had been grasping for all this time.

But his pride would once again be his loss; except this time it would ultimately lead to his undoing. Believing the Gokaiger would be utterly defeated after being scattered, he sent his own personal enforcer Barizorg and several of his father's bodyguards to find them and finish them off. But his confidence came crashing down as the Gokaiger rallied themselves again: Gai, Luka, Don and Ahim would defeat the Dogormin, Joe would defeat Barizorg and at last free the soul of his trapped senior Sid Balmick, and a weary Captain Marvelous would have a vision of his mentor AkaRed to regalvanize his spirit and rejoin his crew in combat. Enraged at Barizorg's death--the one person he had actually considered to be a sort of "friend"--Walz recommandeered the Great Walz to finish off the Gokaiger once and for all. His desire for revenge almost gained him just that, but in the process the Gokaiger had discovered their team had a "Great Power" of their own, just like the 34 previous Super Sentai teams: culminating in the creation of Kanzen Gokaioh and gaining enough power to overcome the Great Walz's, and put the prince down once and for all.

Damaras took the grim task of retrieving his body from the Great Walz's wreckage, ultimately to deliver him back home to Ackdos. Despite his own feelings, he swore the murder of his emperor's son would not go unpunished...

Normally, this is where his story ends. But fate would prove to have other plans...

    From: [personal profile] walz_guilty
    Character personality:
You'd expect the prince of an evil space empire to not be very nice: you'd be right and then some. Walz is sadistic, cruel, vicious, and horribly ill-tempered, as he will fly into a temper tantrum if anything goes wrong. He's also childish and extremely spoiled, having been given anything he wants as the heir to his father's throne. Many of his plans happen on a whim, often banking their success on his own outrageous pride and personal expectations as the crown prince.

Yet despite his apparent incompetence and stupidity, he is actually aware of others' opinions of him, feeling extremely alone and paranoid: even of his own father, who he overheard voicing doubt of his abilities. Out of the entire crew of the Gigant Horse, it's Barizorg--the utterly emotionless cyborg created out of the former Zangyack commander Sid Balmick--that he considers to be the only one he trusts. In fact, the only person he actually shows genuine, heartfelt emotion for is Barizorg, as when he was killed by Sid's former junior Joe Gibken, he cried for him and swore to utterly destroy the Gokaiger in revenge.

He is also frighteningly competent when he puts his mind to it: some of his most heinous plans came from moments where he had seen a moment of opportunity and seized it: such as making an Action Commander into an unwitting suicide bomber or luring the Gokaiger into a trap from which he decisively defeated them. If he puts aside his spoiled, prideful ways, he could've become an emperor worthy of his father's legacy.

    Digimon partner personality:
His V-mon used to be a Gormin, in particular one of the Gormins tasked with navigating the prince's flagship, the Gigant Horse. Whenever the Gokaiger defeat the latest Action Commander sent to attack Earth, Walz would pitch a grand fit and beat up whatever Gormins just happened to be in his vicinity: which were usually the navigator Gormins. But unlike most others who would avoid being attacked by the furious prince, it seemed like this Gormin would constantly get /into/ Walz's line of sight when this happened. Therefore, there's rumors that he does this on purpose; why this is, no one is certain...but as with all rumors, there are certain things that cause one's imagination to run to strange places...

Gormins are created with the expressed purpose of absolute obedience: they follow the commands of the Sugormin and/or Action Commanders without question, and have extremely limited sentience. This carries over to his Digimon form, and is still the one that Walz abuses if he doesn't get his way. But he seems content with this, if you could say he still has sentience. But it seems he has enough to say that his name is "Steve".

((he's inspired by a Vehicon drone from Transformers Prime that /co/ has lovingly dubbed "Steve", as they claim it's the same drone every time one gets beaten up by Starscream, explained by a masochistic crush on him. If the same navigator Gormin gets beaten up by Walz every time he pitches a fit, well...))

    Character abilities:
Walz has no physical prowess or superhuman capabilities; in fact he may as well be an ordinary human if not for the fact he's still alien. Despite often failing at whatever sort of tasks he puts upon himself or others, if he puts his mind to it, his supposedly harmless haughtiness can become the downfall of whoever underestimates him. He is much smarter than others give him credit for, but his pride and spoiled attitude are giant roadblocks to him being truly successful.

    Special Request:
My intent is to pull him right after the Great Walz was destroyed. Which means he's...a bit somewhat dead. Granted this can be fixed if the right (or right in *theory*) person finds him and forces him back to life with some sort of technology sciency magic thing. With permission, I would like to do this, since I am aware death is permanent in the Digital World, but I know that some people have managed to skirt this with case-by-case mod approval. (...myself included. >_>)

    Sample RP:
Junk City had many alleyways, damp and dark and dismal. All sorts of things lurked in them, and right now, a shivering V-mon sat in one, hunched next to a prone, dingy white form.

Cold was something Gormins like him weren't used to. Not that Gormins were capable of expanded thought or feeling in the first place. Even in this new body, his brain was still very much a Gormin's, and still very much bound to his emperor and empire. And behind him, the emperor's beloved son wasn't moving, still as death and he couldn't tell if he was breathing at all.

That's all he was aware of, and as far as the primitive, unquestioning mind of a Gormin was in this Digimon's body, that's all that mattered. Not where they were (he could try to call for help, but for some reason he couldn't link with other Gormins) not why they were here (information on how to get back would be helpful, of course)...just the fact something was wrong with his Excellency and they needed help.

For the first time in a good long while, his attention was brought back to the odd device that was in the prince's hand. He didn't know what this device was, why it had the Zangyack Imperial Crest on the back, or why they had it in the first place. It looked enough like a phone, so wouldn't it function like one? The pirates used phones, and so did the empire when they needed to. But he was afraid to touch it, thinking he might hurt the prince more if he moved him at all.

But what would be gained if he didn't at least try to call for help? Wouldn't he be punished by someone other than his Excellency, possibly destroyed, if he didn't try?

    You don't, sir.

Well if you didn't, you wouldn't have let me wander around in this pile of disease! Now you tell me how this thing works and how I can contact my ship! If I have to spend another moment here I'll be ill!

However, just because it's scared to go into battle doesn't mean that it's always a coward. It actually has a kind and gentle side, ready to comfort someone in need. As well, while it might be afraid of fighting and facing others in a fight, if push comes to shove, she'll stand up against anyone who'd try to hurt her new friends.

Ah, right! Um, my name's Tsubomi. Tsubomi Hanasaki. I... think I'm completely and utterly lost. I don't think this is my home and I really like to go back to it, or my friends and family are going to be worried...

Tsubomi, who are you talking to?

[There's a panicked yelp as Tsubomi fumbles with the D-Comm in a futile attempt to cover it.]

L-Lalamon, I-I can't let them hear you, too! People'll get suspecious!

Ahh, I-I'm sorry, Tsubomi! I'll be good!

    Ahh... i-it's okay...

    Tsubomi, it's still on-desu.

    ERK!

[And the voice becomes louder and clearer.]

Character history: Zelgadis is the great-grandson of Rezo the Red Priest, a noted sage and sorceror known for achieving many miracles. Unbeknown to Zelgadis, Rezo was born with a piece of the Dark Lord Ruby Eye Shabranigdo sealed inside him, causing the man's blindness - a malady that Rezo used many unscrupulous methods in order to try and cure. The pursuit of this goal led to Rezo killing Zelgadis's parents, a fact that Zelgadis personally never discovered, believing that they died in an accident.

Years later, Rezo's focus would be turned on Zelgadis himself. He used the young man's desire to gain greater power, transforming him into a chimera formed from a brau demon, a rock golem, and his original human body. Zelgadis continued to serve Rezo faithfully, working with his friends Zolf, Rodimus, the half-beastman/half-troll Dilgear, and the fishman Noonsa to find the Philosopher's Stone, an item of great power. However, Zelgadis eventually learned that Rezo transformed him as a test for curing his own blindness, and came to loathe his great-grandfather as a result.

While secretly plotting against his grandfather, Zelgadis and his comrades ran afoul of the sorceress Lina Inverse and the swordsman Gourry Gabriev, who had come into possession of a statue containing the Philosopher's Stone. Seeking to betray Rezo, Zelgadis sought to take the Philosopher's Stone for himself, and eventually joined Lina and Gourry's side. After bringing Zolf and Rodimus over, they eventually lost the stone to Rezo, who attempted to use it to cure his blindness. However, this resulted in freeing the piece of Shabranigdo's essence within him, consuming Rezo in the process. Zolf and Rodimus were killed, and only by Lina casting her new spell the Giga Slave were they able to stop Shabranigdo. Ultimately, the remnants of Rezo's spirit aided them in stopping him, a fact that caused Zelgadis much denial and irritation.

Sometime later, Zelgadis was reunited with Lina and Gourry during a series of events related to a disciple of Rezo's, the sorceress Eris, and a copy of the Red Priest himself. It was on this adventure that he met Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun, a young woman who would eventually grow to be rather close with. Ultimately, Eris was killed by her copy of Rezo, who went on to kill almost the entire population of Sairaag and merge with the demonic beast Zanaffar, a creature that had been sealed beneath the holy tree Flagoon. Eventually, Copy Rezo and Zannafar were destroyed by Lina, just as the original was.

Zelgadis's paths would cross with Lina again when they began to pursue an item called the Claire Bible, which Zelgadis sought believing it could help him cure his condition. Ultimately, this ordeal lead them into plots hatched by the Mazoku lords Demon Dragon Gaav and Hellmaster Phibrizo. It was here that he encountered the Mazoku Xellos for the first time, and when he developed a strong enmity for him. Ultimately, events culminated in a massive struggle with Hellmaster, who nearly killed Zelgadis and Amelia in the process. Ultimately, Phibrizo was killed by the Lord of Nightmares, the supreme creator of their world, who took over control of Lina's body when she attempted to use the Giga Slave.

With Phibrizo killed, a barrier cutting civilization off with the rest of the world was brought down. Zelgadis was about ready to join the exploration, when he and his friends encountered the Golden Dragon Filia, who enlisted their help in a new crisis. Ultimately, they came into conflict with the servants of Valgaav, a half-dragon half-Mazoku hybrid and disciple of the now deceased Gaav. Valgaav merged with the essence of Dark Star, a Mazoku lord from another world on the level of Shabranigdo, and was ultimately defeated when Zelgadis and his friends wielded several legendary weapons against him, combining the powers of light and darkness in the process.

Sometime after this, Zelgadis was appointed Amelia's bodyguard and sent with her on a mission to help the investigator Wizer Freion, from the kingdom of Ruvinagald make contact with Lina Inverse. This proved to only be the tip of the iceberg, however, as events drew Zelgadis back into confrontation with his past and Rezo's legacy. After meeting the creature Pokota, who had been destroying inventions created by Ruvinagald, they learned that he was the crown prince of a kingdom called Taforashia. Taforashia had been ravaged by Dorum's disease, and its people put into suspended animation by Rezo while Pokotoa himself had been moved to a construct's body in order to work to restore his people. Zelgadis developed a rivalry with Pokota, who considered Rezo to be a hero and had no knowledge of his evil deeds. The group's investigations led them to stopping the machinations of the Ruvinagald kingdom, who had betrayed the people of Taforashia, and defeating a newly born Zanaffar created by Pokota's fallen friend, Duclis.

However, this was not the end of this adventure. Their ordeal with Pokota lead to the discovery of an item called the Hellmaster's Jar, which they learned now contained Rezo's spirit. Once they discovered it, an enraged Zelgadis stole it, hoping to learn more from Rezo about why he had done what he'd done. He learned more about why Rezo had used him, and that he had created the disease that ravaged Taforashia in order to use its people as an experiment in transferring his soul to a new body. Rezo's soul was eventually placed in Pokota's original body, and proceeded to revive and restore Taforashia... only to unleash the essence of Shabranigdo again. The Dark Lord was vanquished, again with the remnants of Rezo's help, and Zelgadis at last gained some measure of closure about his great-grandfather and the events of his life.

    notananchor: (what is my life)
    From: [personal profile] notananchor
Character personality: On the surface, Zelgadis is somewhat secretive, moody, and not at all pleasant to be around. Once you get to know him, one can find that he's got an adventurous and caring side. That said, Zelgadis is haunted by the secrets of his past. This "brooding loner" bit is almost always offset by those around him, as hanging out with Lina Inverse and company tends to remove one's ability to come across as unflappable. He's more serious than others to a fault, however, and tries to be the practical one of a group. Zelgadis is driven and distrustful of those who do evil or act irresponsibly (ironic given his usual company) and will sometimes lose himself in his pursuits if he believes strongly enough about something. He also has a less serious side, in that if he gets wrapped up in something, Zelgadis will sometimes pursue it to comically exaggerated extremes. In short, "Zel" is almost always the straight man, but even he's not always so above it all. Finally, Zelgadis is somewhat sensitive about his condition, and does not take well to being referred to negatively as such.

Digimon partner personality: Impmon is cheeky, manipulative, and generally downright contemptible, reminding Zelgadis far too much of a certain Mazoku. The digimon is profoundly corrupt and not above using others for his own ends, while putting on a mask of friendliness and helpfulness. The fact that this almost always appears artificial is the only thing that keeps him from manipulating everyone around him - aside from Zelgadis's more noble aspects that is. That said, Impmon sees the value in having a Tamer for a partner, and is willing to avoid doing things that incur his partner's wrath if it means a greater reward in the long run. Impmon is also keenly intelligent, which affords his sneakiness well.

Character abilities: Zelgadis's body is incredibly heavy and durable, though he has no trouble moving about on his own. This results in him having increased strength and endurance, as well as hair as strong as steel wire that can be used as throwing needles. Furthermore, the part of his body derived from a brau demon gives him superior speed and senses, including hearing, and the ability to cast spells with greater ease without becoming tired.

Zelgadis is also an accomplished swordsman. He utilizes the "Astral Vine" spell to enchant his blade, which allows him to attack spectral beings such as Mazoku. In terms of skill, he is able to hold his own against more experienced swordsmen, but not defeat them. In short, he's "above average."

As a sorceror, Zelgadis is superior, skilled in the field of shamanistic magic. In particular, he can cast the Ra Tilt, a spell capable of dealing damage to the opponent's astral self or soul, and the Vlave Howl, a spell that turns a point in the line of sight into molten magma. Both of these are two of the strongest shamanistic spells. He can also cast dark magic, but due to dark magic being reliant on drawing power from various Mazoku, he cannot use any of them in Dive - save for one, the Gaav Flare, a fireball which derives power from the Mazoku Gaav, who exists in game. This spell is useless when used on Gaav himself. The power of all his spells are reduced to the Adult level.

Sample RP: Zelgadis opened his eyes, and stared at the thing standing before him again. The small, horned-demon looking creature simply gave him a fanged grin.

    "You're a what, now?"

"I'm an Impmon," the being answered.

"And an Impmon is something called a 'digimon'," Zelgadis replied, repeating something that the other had said moments before.

    "Correct."

"Which is short for 'Digital Monster.'"

"You have been paying attention," Impmon replied cheekily.

Zelgadis kept the urge to snap back at the horned demon, and instead shot him a glare. Right now, he was more focused on going over the information in his mind. He'd been transported to another world - on top of that, not one of the four worlds, but somewhere else entirely. A "Digital World", as Impmon had called it.

Such a word was foreign to him. Impmon had spoken of things like data and information, none of which fit in with what Zelgadis knew. He did doubt it - he doubted whatever information he was given unsolicited - but a the same time, he knew it was one of the only things he had to go on. Nevertheless, he didn't quite trust this "digimon" who'd attached itself to him.

Mostly because it kept trying to pick his pockets.

But right now, the best course of action was to find civilization, and see what information he could gather there. For now, he'd let Impmon follow him down this road. He was the only one who knew just where they were going, after all.

Zelgadis just hoped it wasn't in to more trouble.

How much of a derp is Ken? Let me count the ways.

So, I re-apped Vile after we decided to make the Dreamwidth. I got inspiration for him back, wanted him involved with the chaos, and so forth. Unfortunately, I also re-apped him after I'd made my Dreamwidth character journals, and added them to LJ Juggler. Between all the chaos of... err, Chaosmon, and the move, a new journal for him didn't get added to the Juggler, annnnnnnd...

I missed him in the crossfire, not out of forgetting the bastard, as I noticed a day too late, but simply because of god knows how many things were flying around left and right~

Given how recent my app was, I'm just re-transplanting it here. If you guys want new samples, I will oblige.

    Player's Age: 27

    Character/Series: Vile, Mega Man X

    Character Type: Secondary Villain.

    Tamer Class: Soul

Character appearance: Purple Boba Fett. No, really. Sometimes, he's just a green Boba Fett. So basically, Boba Fett, yeah.

Character age: He's a reploid, he doesn't age. Given the lack of a sliding timescale in the X series, it's impossible to tell, but he has the mind of a grown adult. A crazy one, but a grown one.

Digimon partner(s)/Spirit/Evolution Line: Hagurumon > Mechanorimon > Valvemon > Raidenmon

Character history: Vile was once a Maverick Hunter, a group of Reploids who seek out and eliminate their own kind of have become dangerous, or turned "Maverick." Under the command of Sigma, he was damn good at his job. TOO good, in fact, as he enjoyed the violence and the act of slaughtering his fellow Reploids far too much. In reality, that's all he wanted to do - to kill, to destroy, to leave nothing but havoc in his wake.

Eventually, this nature would shine through, and his fellow Hunters captured him and locked him away. This would not last long, however - Sigma initiated a rebellion against his own Hunters, and freed Vile to have him act as one of his subordinates yet again. Only now, Vile would be able to initiate all the havoc he could imagine.

He did so, helping launch initial attacks for Sigma's rebellion. There, he was confronted by Mega Man X, and would have had the upperhand, were it not for the intervention of the ace Maverick Hunter, Zero. Vile would retreat, and X would move on to make his way through Sigma's forces. They would all be defeated, up until X arrived at Sigma's own base. Vile confronted him again there, but was again foiled thanks to Zero's intervention and, this time, sacrifice.

Considerably later, during the events of Mega Man X3, Vile was reconstructed by Dr. Doppler. In this time, thanks to his repeated defeats and his previous destruction, he develops an intense, all consuming hatred for X. Ultimately, however, he is destroyed... but vows to haunt X until the day he dies.

Years pass, and nothing comes of this.

Eventually, however, he is reconstructed again, this time by Sigma. He is then let loose into the world, and garners quite a criminal reputation in the process. Eventually, Sigma calls upon him again to initiate his latest scheme. He is sent to capture Lumine, the head of the Jakob Project, an orbital elevator being constructed at the time. He runs across X, Zero, and their new teammate Axl, but quickly succeeds in nabbing Lumine.

He plagues the Hunters all throughout this incident, as they tackle a new string of Mavericks all over the world. Eventually, the Hunters confront and defeat him at the elevator, but he escapes. When they raid Sigma's palace, Vile confronts them one last time... and, once again, is seemingly destroyed.

Only this time, he went elsewhere.

    The Digital World.

There, he found himself saddled with a Digimon partner, Hagurumon, who was so unhinged it made him look sane. He sought to cause minor points of destruction and chaos until he ran across a trio of things - a mystical weapon from another world called the "Sword of Light," a mysterious priest named Xellos, and the Demon King Daemon. He was allowed to keep the weapon, and quickly learned how well it responded to a strong will... and as many times as he'd come back to life, he had plenty of will to spare.

He fell in league with Akihiro Kurata, and led an assault on Tetha, commanding Kurata's legion of Gizmon. There, he confronted Zero and his own Digimon partner, Ryuudamon. In the battle, Vile defeated Zero, while MechaNorimon - Hagurumon's evolved form - killed Ryuudamon.

Kurata's attempt at conquest would fail thanks to the actions of Tamers the world over, so Vile joined with a number of Kurata's supposed allies - Kagura Tsukasa, Prometheus Black, and Xellos lurking in the background. Black was able to reactivate the Virus burried deep within Zero, bending the Hunter to his will. Zero wasted no time in relinquishing the Sword of Light from Vile, and using it for his own for a time.

Vile, angered, was then manipulated by Xellos into staging an attack in Tetha that would lead to his defeat and arrest. He rested in a cell for some time after that, until the Demon King Daemon made an offer to become sealed with his mark. This gave Vile power, and only served to further fuel his bloodlust.

He escaped, and went on to further fuel Daemon's intent of chaos and destruction. He would continue at this for some time, confronting foes old and new alike, until Yggdrasil saw fit to return him from where he came...

And all her went back to was darkness.

...until once again, his essence was called back to this world.

Then he got sealed by Daemon again, helped usher in Chaosmon's feast, and got smacked around a bit. Digital World was reset, and...

[NOTE: Again, the mun is a derp. I'd like to request that he have just been data frozen in this intervening time between Chaosmon and now. His evolution requirements will still remain reset from his re-approval here.]

Character personality: To many others, Vile seems absolutely insane. And by their standards, he might well be. He knows very well what he wants, however - destruction and chaos are what he seeks. He delights in them, and will do whatever one wants so long as he is granted this.

He hates the Maverick Hunters greatly, but none moreso than Mega Man X. While others have been involved, X has been at the forefront of each and every defeat, each and every death. After awhile, that begins to grate on someone.

Vile is sarcastic, and takes very few things besides wanting for X's death too seriously. His sense of humor is, however, very much with a sick and sadistic twist. He takes delight at your misery and despair, and won't think twice about reminding you of it.

He doesn't take LIFE very seriously, either. Life is disposable to him, given how many times he's lost his own. So he doesn't take much value in the lives of others, and will think nothing about snuffing one out.

Vile, basically, wants to HURT you. Possibly even kill you. He cares about little to nothing else beyond his own well being.

Digimon partner personality: If Vile is demented, Hagurumon is certifiably insane. He is, in a lot of ways, like a really destructive, uncontrollable child. Except this child has the power to crush you skull when evolved, and he will clap and laugh merrily after he has done this, like a little kid looking for a parent's praise after accomplishing a task.

Time without Vile has made him even crazier. With no one to guide him, he has wandered through the wilderness of the Digital World, picking on those fewer that he can find weaker than him, even leaving a few Digi-Eggs in his wake.

Unbalanced as he is, carrying a coherent conversation with Hagurumon is very difficult for anyone but Vile. It will eventuall dereail into him trying to smash and/or tear your face off, in most cases. Luckily, Vile doesn't have a face to be torn off, anyway.

The child-like mentality means he is easily placated, though. A proper distraction can and will keep him happy and distracted for some time. Unfortunately, most "proper distractions" still involve him destroying something.

To Vile, though, he is loyal without question. He recognizes Vile as his superior, and will do anything and everything the Maverick asks of him. This is regardless of what it does to Hagurumon, and he'd even go to his death for Vile unflinchingly.

Character abilities: Vile, as a Reploid, is stronger and more sturdy than any normal human being. He's several times stronger than any ordinary human, and could probably break one in half if he ever got his hands on one. The armor he wears can protect him from a number of direct hits from many sorts of weapons.

Being robotic, even suffering extensive damage, it can be repaired... so long as there is someone skilled enough TO repair him.

Mounted on his shoulder is a cannon that can fire pulses of energy. Mounted on his wrists are guns that fire rapid blasts of energy. He is also armed with grenades.

He has boosters set into his feet and one on his back that allow for hovering and some limited flight capabilities.

Overall, Vile is a very good fighter. He was one of the Maverick Hunters' best, which thus made him one of the most dangerous when he revealed his Maverick nature. He is primarily skilled at range combat, though. While he can handle himself in a close confrontation, he's most capable from some distance.

He's also a capable pilot, though without any of his Ride Armors, that doesn't count for very much in the situations he'd normally find himself under here.

Sample RP: Darkness, rage, and anger were all Vile felt for longer than he could determine or measure.

He had been on a path he truly knew was his calling. He didn't much like being one's servant, but to usher in that which the Demon King Daemon was offering... He knew it was meant for him. He knew it was his destiny.

Yet, it had been ripped away from him. Stolen, as he was torn out of the Digital World, thrust back into a blackness. Into nothing.

And then, just as suddenly, he felt something. He felt ... his body, felt the world around him reassert itself. He could feel things again. Optics flaring to life beneath his helmet, he took a moment to adjust to the world around him...

He was in a forest. Laying aroudn his feet were a number of pastel colored eggs. He heard nothing, except a sharp, insane laughter, and someone crying for help. Standing up and walking around a tree, he saw it.

A Goblimon hunkered down, begging for his life, with a Hagurumon floating above him.

"P- please... don't...!" begged the Goblimon.

"OH, BUT I WILL! I MUST HAVE BREAKFAST READY FOR WHEN VILE COMES BACK!" Hagurumon giggled, a disturbing look in his eyes. "He will come back, and he'll have all the eggs he can eat! JUST YOU WATCH! DARKNESS GEAR!"

Gears flew out from the Hagurumon, cutting through the Goblimon, who broke apart and reformed into a Digi-Egg. Watching this, Vile just casually leaned against the tree and clapped.

"Well, at least some things don't change," Vile said, and the Hagurumon gave him a startled look.

"VILE!" Hagurumon exclaimed, and then looked around worriedly "Y- ... you're early! I hadn't made breakfast yet!"

A single flaring light washed out from the visor of his helmet. "No need to worry about that... I think it's time I caught up..."

Sample D-Comm Network Post: How are all of my favorite emotional punching bags?

Yeah, I know, you thought you could get lucky, and I'd just go away. No such luck, losers!

    However, there's a distinct problem...

See. I have this Shamamon in a headlock. I'm going to kill him. You can't do anything to stop it.

But YOU get to decide how he dies!

Because YOU get to tell me where the hell X is, and why my D-Comm is saying he's not in this world anymore.

Did someone else kill him? I will find you and kill you. It'll be fun.

Did Yggdrasil send him home? That's really going to suck... for one of you. Because I'm going to HAVE to get my frustration out one way or another...

Either way, however you answer, it will either give Shamamon here a slow, painful death, or a quick, but still pretty painful death. I'll leave it up to YOU to decide which is which.

And really... you don't WANT to know what I do to him if NO ONE replies.

Character history: Dark Precure was created by Professor Tsukikage, who was under the influence of a mask that led to him taking the name of Professor Sabaaku. Together, they served Dune, a being who sought to turn the entire world into a desert. Dark Precure was actually based on Tsukikage's daughter, Yuri, who had become Cure Moonlight, a warrior known as a Precure charged with protecting the Heart Tree, a legendary tree that stood in the way of Dune and his minions' plans. Together, Dark Precure and Dune's servants were collectively known as the Desert Apostles.

Dark Precure's role in the story began when she faced Cure Moonlight in battle, seeking to destroy the Heart Tree. In the process of this fight, Dark Precure killed Yuri's fairy partner, Cologne, destroyed the Heart Seed she used to transform (keeping three quarters of the destroyed item for herself), and nearly destroyed the Heart Tree itself. However, several fairies in service of the Heart Tree escaped, and they went on to find new Precure to help protect the tree and work to stop the Desert Apostles' plans. In these new battles, Dark Precure typically remained at Sabaaku's side, while the main efforts of the group were focused on his other subordinates, Sasorina, Kumojacky, and Cobraja.

Eventually, these three's efforts proved unsatisfactory, and Dark Precure herself went into action. Holding the two new Precure, Blossom and Marine's, fairies hostage, she demanded the Heart Pot, the item that was being used to restore the Heart Tree's health. Even though a mysterious interloper arrived to save their fairies, Dark Precure was able to defeat both Cures handily. However, before she could finish them off, Yuri appeared, revealing to Dark Precure that she survived their previous battle. Rather than finish the battle, Dark Precure left to report this information.

Wanting nothing more than to defeat Cure Moonlight once and for all, Dark Precure targeted her specifically, only for the mysterious interloper and the Precure to get in her way again. This time, Sabaaku ordered her to withdraw.

Later, she and Sabaaku learned that a new fairy would be born from the Heart Tree, and with it, a new Precure would soon appear. After the new Cure, Sunshine, and her fairy, Potpourri revealed themselves, Dark Precure followed the group to the Heart Tree, as they intended to repair the barrier the tree used to protect itself. Dark Precure fought the group and their new member again, only to lose when she was forced away from the Heart Tree just as its barrier was restored. The Heart Tree vanished afterwards, leaving Dark Precure with nothing.

As time passed, Dark Precure grew more and more obsessed with defeating Cure Moonlight and destroying the Heart Tree. When the broken Heart Seed began to pulse, Dark Precure used its power to follow the Precure to the Heart Tree's new location, where she easily defeated Blossom, Marine, and Sunshine. However, due the Precure having previously filled the Heart Pot, Yuri was able to restore her Heart Seed and transform into Cure Moonlight once again. Dark Precure battled her opposite number again, this time with much different results: Dark Precure being defeated by Moonlight. However, before Moonlight could finish her off, Sabaaku appeared, saving her.

Dark Precure did not resurface for some time, as she spent a large amount of time sealed in a sort of capsule being restored and improved upon. When she next appeared before the Precure, she revealed a stronger level of power than ever before, saving Cobraja from being defeated in the process.

Sometime later, Dune himself came to Earth, creating a massive fortress in the sky and capturing the Precure's mentor, Kaoruko. They even managed to destroy the Heart Tree, successfully turning the world into a desert. However, the Precure invaded the fortress, hoping to save Kaoruko and undo the damage the Desert Apostles suffered. Here, Moonlight and Dark Precure encountered one another for the final time. In the course of their final battle, Sabaaku took a hit meant for Dark Precure, revealing his true identity in the process. Dark Precure became enraged over Yuri “hurting” her father, and savagely attacked her, only to be beaten. In the end, Dark Precure faded away as she was held in her father's arms, her true identity and origin being revealed to her sister in these final moments.

Character personality: Dark Precure is defined by her desire to surpass and crush her so-called sister. It goes beyond simply defeating her, though that is a significant part of it. She desires to prove herself superior to Yuri in every way, and to earn her place as Sabaaku's true daughter. This masks an inferiority complex and a deeply buried belief that if she doesn't succeed in doing so, her life will have no meaning. In other words, Dark Precure's sense of self worth and identity is tied into surpassing and effectively replacing Yuri. How she goes about this can take many forms, but she is incapable of turning away from such a desire, as it was literally the reason why she was created. It defines and consumes her, and it would take a great deal for her to grow past it.

On the surface, however, Dark Precure is cold, aloof, and sadistic. Her serious personality (and hatred and inferiority complex) comes with an air of looking down on others. Dark Precure is quick to dispense pain to her enemies, and gleans some amount of pleasure from dominating and defeating them (though not to any sort of extreme). Others are treated as if they are beneath her. This facade of her's only cracks when Dark Precure encounters a situation she cannot fully comprehend, such as instances when she is outmatched or when she finds herself on the losing end of a battle. In such situations, Dark Precure becomes enraged and violent, intent on destroying what lies in front of her. On very very rare occasions does Dark Precure show herself as being capable of affection, and that's only towards Sabaaku. That said, she has a very skewed view of the world, and a major change to it can cause her to lose her sense and become enraged as well.

Digimon partner personality: PicoDevimon is a bad egg – in short, he loves being nasty, even if it's stereotypical for his species to be so. He figures that if others are going to consider him dark and evil, he might as well give it back to them ten fold. He goes about such behavior with enthusiasm, and can be described as rather “hot blooded” in this regard. Unlike most PicoDevimon, he prefers to act like a bully rather than a trickster, and favors action over subterfuge. Being partnered with Dark Precure has given him the chances he needs to fulfill such desires, as a PicoDevimon's attacks are not typically suited to brutish behavior. One might think that there's something insecure underneath all of his dark bravado, but the fact is, PicoDevimon likes being bad. He's purely a sadist, vicious and cruel through and through. As far as he's concerned, it's his nature and no one will tell him different.

Character abilities: Dark Precure's powers are formidable. She is able to create barriers of red energy, and when releasing her full power by opening her normally closed eye, she can create powerful waves of force. This is no longer necessary after her “upgrade” by Sabaaku, but she does it out of habit, and never reveals her true strength out of a desire to lull enemies into a false sense of security.

Beyond that, she is capable of flight, and is physically strong beyond the ken of mortal human beings. Her speed is also high, and she has a considerable amount of skill at hand-to-hand combat. Dark Precure is so skilled she's capable of taking on multiple opponents at once, and has the endurance to weather many attacks. She can hit both hard and fast, and her blows both have power and speed behind them. Her skill and endurance are both shown situations where she's been known to take on and basically tank the powers of three fourths of the Precure's team. This is due to a combination of her powers as Moonlight's opposite and the fact that she is an artificial being, designed to be a fighter and emulate Yuri's own formidable powers. In short, she is Cure Moonlight's opposite number, possessing all her skill with added ruthlessness.

Her primary weapon is her Dark Tact, with which she can utilize Dark Forte Wave, a blast of energy resembling a flower with black leaves and a red bud. The Dark Tact can also project a blade of energy to effectively serve as a sword. Finally, her strongest technique is Dark Power Fortissimo, an attack where she surrounds herself in crimson energy and hurtles forward, becoming like a living ball of destructive power.

Sample RP: Dark Precure looked out over this place called the “Dark Area”, one of her eyes closed out of habit. She stood, stoically, her short hair and skirt blowing lightly in the wind.

This place... this “Digital World.” It had seen fit to give her a second chance. And what's more... she was here...

“Are you just gonna stand around all day?”

Dark Precure looked to the side, where her so-called partner PicoDevimon hovered near her. The bat-like creature had a smug grin on his face, and she could tell that he didn't care if he was being annoying or not.

Deciding it wasn't worth arguing with him, she simply decided to reply. “This land is in chaos,” she said. “You have lived here for some time. You will help me find my way here, correct?”

“You mean the Digital World or the Dark Area,” the PicoDevimon replied, snickering.

    She shot him a glare.

“Fine fine fine,” the digimon replied. “Yeah, sure. I can do that. But honestly, I'd recommend getting the hell out of Dodge. This place is more trouble than it's worth right now.”

Dark Precure nodded. “Very well. We'll seek... opportunities elsewhere.”

Opportunities... to finally settle a score, and perhaps even far more than that, she thought to herself.

Meanwhile, PicoDevimon grinned. Here, here was his opportunity, at last. The weakness of his current form would no longer hold him back. He didn't care what this strange Tamer had in store for him, as long as it involved one thing: mayhem.

He had no idea how satisfied he'd end up being in that regard.

Sample D-Comm Network Post: Hm. I'm not a woman of many words, but... it seems that this “Digital World” has seen fit to give me a second chance...

    I am Dark Precure.

Moonlight. This is your only warning. I am coming for you.

Anyone else in this world... had best stay out of my way.

    Player's Age: 24

Character/Series: Vivio Takamachi, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (Vivid + Digital Dive)

Character Type: Main in Vivid, Secondary in Strikers. Vivio here has been made AU due to her previous instance of being in the Digital World in addition to the fact that Nanoha and Fate aren’t there for the events of Vivid in this timeline.

Tamer Class: Xros Tamer. Vivio’s good with people and would likely excel with having multiple digimon partners without favoring one over the other. In addition to this, it’s been stated in Vivid by a few characters that her “magic isn’t suited for the battlefield” and that “she’d be better off as a scholar”. While Vivio does NOT want to believe that, she is pretty book smart and would likely be able to come up with working strategies. Also, while I’m going to outline her canon powers in the abilities section, because I’m making her a Xros Tamer she won’t actually have access to them.

    Character appearance: http://www.dreamwidth.org/userpic/1755257/1176167

Character age: 13 (due to aging in Dive)

Xros Army: Sorcerymon (her previous and primary partner), Starmon and Pickmonz, Magnamon, Knightmon,

    Xros Ups:

    CosmicSorcerymon:
X2 Xros Up between Sorcerymon and Starmon and Pickmonz. Looks a lot like Sorcerymon, but Starmon has fused with her Crystal staff, making the top of it star shaped. Groups of five Pickmonz fuse together into silver starts that merge with Sorcerymon’s hate, gloves, and knees. She has the same attacks that she had as Sorcerymon, but also gains the ability to use Starmon’s Meteor Squall attack, although instead of actually firing Pickmonz it fires energy blasts shaped like Pickmonz.

    WarCosmicSorcerymon
X3 Xros UP between Sorcerymon, Starmon and Pickmonz, and Magnamon. Unlike the previous form, Sorcerymon has undergone a few more changes, having grown in size to be as tall as Magnamon. Her robes are also stretched to match that size, and she has Magnamon’s golden armor all throughout her body. She has lost her staff, Starmon merging with her chest to form the breastplate of her armor. The Pickmonz are still located in star shaped formations on her newly minted helmet, gauntlets, and the top of her grieves. Sorcerymon is still able to cast magic in this form, but actually excels at close quarters combat. She maintains the ability to use Meteor Squall, though now each blast of the energy Pickmonz are the size of small meteors instead of just Pickmonz, and it’s charged similar to Vivio’s version of the Divine Buster. She also possesses an attack called Cosmic Punch, which is basically her just punching the enemy really hard.

    WarCosmicSorcerymon Berserk Sword
Weapon Type X4 Xros-Up between WarCosmicSorcerymon and Knightmon. This form is WarCosmicSorcerymon with the addition of a giant sword that used to be Knightmon, even bigger than Knightmon’s normal Berserk Sword, as Knightmon has fused into the sword completely. WarCosmicSorcerymon gains access to the Meteor Squall Slash, which is the Meteor Squall attack shot out from slashes from the sword. Because of the massive size of the sword, she is unable to fire that attack off in rapid succession, but it does offer various different ways that she can fire the attack as opposed to the straight line that she needs to fire it as just WarCosmicSorcerymon.

    StarlightSorcerymon
Sorcerymon’s Super Evolution, this form evolves from CosmicSorcerymon. Sorcerymon has grown quite a bit in size and her figure is now noticeably feminine, though she still isn’t proportioned quite like Rosemon is. Her hat has vanished, and her blond hair goes down to her back in a single ponytail. She’s now dressed in white robes and a cape, and Starmon has turned completely red at the top of her staff. While she is still able to use the same attacks that she had as Sorcerymon, her real strength lies in her ability to manipulate holy elemental magic. Her new attacks in this form include the Divine Buster, which is a rainbow colored magic attack that fires from the staff in a massive beam. She also possesses an attack called Starlight Breaker, which condenses the magical energy from the nearby area and fires it all at the target, though the beam itself travels much slower than the Divine Buster because of how massive it is. In addition to all of this, StarlightSorcerymon’s physical strength isn’t all that great, and as such in close quarters combat StarlightSorcerymon is practically a sitting duck against a high-end combat geared perfect or a normal physical strength Ultimate.

    StarlightSorcerymon Warrior Mode
Super Evolution Xros Up between StarlightSorcerymon and Magnamon. This form is pretty similar to the X3 Xros up of WarCosmicSorcerymon, with the staff vanishing and Starmon becoming a breastplate, along with Magnamon’s body becoming armor that StarlightSorcerymon wears. While in this form, StarlgihtSocerymon’s physical strength and defense go up to something more typical of a fighter type ultimate, though she’s still not something that’s high tier of physical power. Her magical attacks are a bit weaker now that she doesn’t have the staff to focus her energy anymore, but her Divine Buster still packs quite a punch. She can also fire the Starlight Breaker, but the charging speed for a strong enough blast is a lot slower than it was in her previous form. However, there’s another variation of the attack that she has, called Starlight Charger, which absorbs the magic nearby to temporarily increase her strength and speed for a few minutes after she finishes absorbing the magic.

    StarlightSorcerymon Zamber Mode
This form has no major differences in appearance from her normal form, other than the fact that her Starmon staff has shifted and merged with the sword that Knightmon has become. However the way StarlightSorcerymon fights is completely different from how she fought before the Xros with Knightmon. StarlightSorcerymon's magic is now used solely to increase her speed and strength so she can wield the massive sword. Her Sonic Cutter attack involves her blurring into existence against the enemy and slashing in a wide arc with her sword. She also has a stronger attack called Starlight Slash, where her blade glows with lights all the color of the rainbow. This is the only attack where she uses her power for something other than wielding the massive blade, thee light shooting off of the blade as a beam. Using this attack leaves her vulnerable for several seconds, as she needs to re gather her magical energy in order to re-lift her blade. Her defense is also weaker than in her default form, to the point that an adult that's able to hit her will be able to do a decent amount of damage.

    Character history:
Vivio was an artificial mage created by the insane scientist called Jail Scagletti for the purpose of reactivating and powering an ancient weapon known as the Saint's Cradle, possible from cloning her from DNA remains left of the Saint in question.

While she was in transport in one area of Mid-Childa, she accidentally destroyed the transport that was carrying her and went off in search of her mother. It was during this time that she was found by two members of the Time Space Administration Bureau's Mobile Division Section Six, Erio Mondial and Caro Ru Lushe.

After being brought to Section Six, Vivio ended up being temporarily being placed under the guardianship of Captain Nanoha Takamachi and Fate T. Harlaown. The three of them had a good relationship, with Vivio getting quite attached to Nanoha almost immediately.

However, it was soon after that that Vivio was kidnapped and delivered to Jail Scagletti once again, altered with a device called a Relic in order to complete her and make her power the Saint's Cradle, in order to complete his plan of taking over Mid-Childa and the Universe.

Nanoha made it into the Cradle to rescue Vivio, but due to be under Jail and his underling's control, was magically aged up to a teenager to use her full magical powers against her adoptive guardian, and the two of them fought a brief battle, with Nanoha being the victor and Vivio being returned to normal.

After that, Nanoha officially adopted Vivio as her child while Fate went on a long mission off Mid-Childa, although to Vivio Fate was still one of her mothers.

Vivio started school and had a normal life for quite some time, although there was another incident where Vivio was almost kidnapped where her magic once again manifested, aging her temporarily into her teenage form again. After that incident, it was eventually understood that it was inherent in her body due to Jail Scagletti not wanting one of his pawns to be affected the same way that Nanoha was by using magic that her body physically couldn't handle, as crippled pawns were useless.

It was a little bit after that that Nanoha started teaching Vivio how to fight, although her mother didn't teach her anything too advanced. That didn't stop Vivio from learning Nanoha's Divine Buster from watching her though.

And it was three years after the end of the Jail Scagletti incident that Vivio was pulled into a world quite different from her own. Vivio's arrival in the Digital World proved to be one of the more defining moments of her life, being the first time since the Jail Scagletti incident that she had ended up involved in real battles. During her time there she fought against many digimon and a few villains alongside her mothers and partner Sorcerymon, including the resurrected Alicia Testarossa and a younger version of her mother Nanoha.

But eventually Vivio was sent back to her home three years after her arrival in the Digital World. Vivio ended up having to move in with Hayate Yagami until her Mother's returned to the Digital World. While she reconnected with her childhood friends Corona and Lio she continued thinking about the Digital World, hoping that Yggdrasil would bring her back to help out with the fight again.

It was during this year that she trained that she eventually met Einhard Stratos, a girl a bit older than her that wanted to prove the superiority of her Kaiser Arts. Vivio was all too happy to agree to the fight, and the two girls fought, with Vivio eventually becoming victorious.

Vivio vowed to become friends with the other girl, but didn't have time to do so, as a few weeks after that Vivio was once again brought into the Digital World.
